  1. agreed. japanese wheels are pricey. people are paying up to 5k for a nice set. depends on width/dish/brand
  2. i was under the impression that all v25/30/35 n/a plenums were the same... i think you also need 2 new gaskets to go either side of the spacer
  3. August 5 works for me. havent been to the bombay before. i'll bring a helmet. and with my week off before that i should have my plenum refurbished and spacer installed
  4. having a get-together for lunch for M35 and V35's see post in v35 forum http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/400643-adelaide-v35-meet-up/page__view__findpost__p__6444223
  5. A few people have asked what happened to this.... im guessing it never happened. so im inviting v35 and m35 stagea owners to have a get together for lunch and to exchange nissan info and ideas on a coming saturday or sunday. im NOT going to organise a cruise for afterwards, but i will be going for a long beach drive or hills drive if the weather is nice with a coffee at the end. im thinking either july 21/22 or the fortnight after, lunch at either the Oriental @ norwood or somewhere near the beach.
  6. initially i'd say its the 20's. but you also have wheel alignment, tyre pressures and worn bushes/shocks/springs to consider. low profile tryes (40% or less) will tend to wander as it drives over inconsistent surfaces, resulting in lots of steering correction as you go along. if you put 17's or 18's back on (pumped to 32psi) and went down the same road, it should drive alot straighter. if that makes no difference, id be checking mechanical components the worst ride ive ever experienced was on 285-25-20's which had lots of centre wear from underinflation. the back of the car handled alot like a car with solid rear axle and a broken watts linkage ( scary feeling!)
  7. why do none of those ebay items come up in searches on my iphone ebay app?
  8. ive seen what ebay no-brand mufflers are like... and you get what you pay for. too risky for the $$ if you ask me. the only bits that could be as good might be the external shiny bits, with poor internals (as i bought once before), using thinner metals that show as cheap freight cost...
  9. to suit which car? as far as i know the v35 never had OEM JDM double din.... only aftermarket theres the V35 / G35 Single or Double DIN Stereo Install Kit ( Metra 99-7604 ) http://www.autoaudio.com.au/product_info.php?pName=nissan-skyline-v35-350gt-0304-infinity-g35

  16. wont work without body mods 20x10 +20 on a sedan's rear looks like this, with a 245 stretched across it...
  17. 20x8.5 +35 front with 225-35-20 (just inside the guards) 20x10 +42 rear with 255-30-20 and rolled guards (poke 5mm out of guards) fronts should really be +25 so that they match the "poke" on the rears all tyres are different. i originally had 285-25-20 pirelli's on the rears, wanted a bit narrower so bought a set of 265-30-20... they ended up being wider than the 285's!!
  18. if you want nice wheels, you need to register yourself on a few forums. occasionally someone has a set going cheap, but you have to be quick. found mine (20x8.5, 20x10) with almost the exact offset i wanted on a merc forum in QLD for 900 with tyres, +100 freight +200 redrill.
  19. definitely not me then. what is it with people out north racing all the time? as soon as i get past the city theres always some hero redlining or switching lanes like he's late for a dole cheque
  20. yeah i was thinking email might be easier pretty sure theyre freeware, but may be a copyright infringement in there somewhere
  21. couldve been me...
  22. yep heaps posted here and on G35driver 56 pages worth, im on page 54 http://g35driver.com/forums/media-share-g35-sedan-v35/225137-03-06-aftermarket-modded-oem-wheel-pics-thread-54.html or use a calc http://www.jonathanrowny.com/page/offset-calculator (add one inch to wheel width, as a 10 inch wheel is actually 11 inches wide overall)
  23. jaycar amps have always proved themselves... ive had dramas with jaycar woofers tho... all have let go of voice coils... without overpowering. VDO dayton woofers and Jaycar amps were the best combination ive heard in a sedan. whatever you do, make sure everything is power matched, and the box is tuned. cables can never be too thick in gauge. ive got some oldschool basic box design programs i can throw on a disc if anyone is interested
