  8. You're making good progress mate, should be sick when done. Did you have a carbon cannister when you took it over pits down here, or did you take it out after? I'm wondering if I would get away with out it.
  9. I hate setting goals as I always seem to underestimate how much time things will take, but the good news is that everything is starting to go back in the car. I'd like to say it will be track ready by the end of the month but there's a couple of potentially time consuming things that are out of our control, so we'll see what happens

The rusted pipe is a press fit into the bottom half of the inlet plenum, so with a bit of difficulty you can crush it inwards and remove it, then if you know a machinist you could get them to make up a new piece with the right tolerances to press in. I have been told you can buy this piece but I couldn't find one, there's no part number for it in FAST so I doubt you would get it from Nissan. So it would probably end up being easier for you to buy a new inlet manifold.

  14. Sounds good, if you're handy with a welder its not too hard to put some baffles and trapdoors in the standard sump, and extend the pickup to the middle. It might not really be necessary if you're overfilling the oil but if you've got the time the extra security wouldn't hurt.

  18. As title says I'm looking to swap two 265/35/R18 tyres for two 215 - 235/xx/R18's. There is the choice of either Falken Ziex ZE329's or Nexen N3000's. Both sets have been used but have heaps of tread left. I'm looking to swap as they won't fit on the front. May consider selling the lot for the right price but would prefer to swap.     Brake Pads/fluid

    For brake pads I would go QFM A1RM's (also supplied by gslrallysport), that's what we had on our R32 and they were great, they saw a couple of track days and after switching to these combined with Motul RBF600 brake fluid it made a very noticeable difference on the track. However, I haven't used them over a long period of time so I can't tell you how they wear or if they produce much brake dust. Pads were somewhere about $150 from memory and brake fluid about $35 a bottle (this is probably overkill for a mainly street driven car though). I have also heard that the Remsa pads are good.
