Once I have the donor car it's down hill from there which is pretty common. The conversion kit from the states includes custom sump, engine mounts, transmission mounts shifter plate and a single piece tailshaft. If that's not a clue I don't know what is.

Spoke to an engineer today. He said it was good to go. Engine swap is going ahead. Some people know what I'm doing but for others it's a wait.

Ok so the VQ25DET engine swap didn't go as planned. Partly because of my lack of research and comparing cars and their differences. So attempt number two is in the early stages of thoughts/planning. I'm keeping this close to my chest. This will be a long painful road.

You used to be able to buy nismo airbag light delete modules that clipped to the yellow plug under the seat. Good luck finding one but what i did was put a resistor (2.2 OHM from jaycar, cheap as chips) in the plug and taped it up. Either ignore the light or replace the resistor

I rang carbon car systems after reading what members have suggested. I got quoted $520 installed a by a "auto parts store" for a basic sort of system. Carbon quoted me the exact same system for $375 fitted. Even if i have to put $50 petrol in im still ahead. Will be getting done by carbon for sure!

I payed 500 with a V35 rail for my recaro. It is the anniv model. Made in 02 and it is mint, firm bolsters, no tears or burns. Just needed a clean and some new foam fashers from recaro and she is like new

What you SAUNSW member say and what actually happens are two different things. We dont choose to stay away, the r-chassis people make that choice for us with comment like " Do man V35 Skylines go to these sort of things, or is it mainly the better skylines?" here on the forum, let alone the other crap we cop when we do turn upto events. Can i ask what is it exactly about V-chassis cars that you R-chassis look down apon us and make you better than everyone else?
