  1. OK, after having a closer look at that guys site ( http://gdz1la.kol.co.nz/prod01.htm ) it all *seems* pretty straight-forward. I have edited a couple of the pics as well a bad one I took of my igniter/loom. Can anyone confirm whether my understanding is correct or not. These are the instructions as posted on his site: My Understanding is as follows: This is the Igniter to coils loom mentioned in step 1 and 2. Haven’t had a close look yet due to fading light, but I think the GND wire connects to the back of the head, so nothing really needs to be done with this one except maybe extend it to meet the new coil pack location. The other wires are obviously the ground pulse triggers for each cylinder. This is the 3 pin plug mentioned in step 4. Initially I thought he was talking about the fat white wire on the 3 pin connector at each of the factory coil pack, but I'm pretty certain he means this one. The way I read the instructions, you just loop this across the 3 positive terminals on the wasted spark type coil pack, or if you are running 6 individual coils like the Bosch MEC717, do the same across the 6 + terminals. This is the coil pack that the guy is using. I imagine the AU one would be pretty similar. Obviously if you were using the 6 coil setup there would be no grouping of the wires coming from the loom. That’s my understanding of the instructions given. Anyone want to comment or offer suggestions?
  2. I think they are standard amongst a few Nissans (pulsars etc). Try a wrecker...shouldnt be more than $10
  3. BTW RB30-POWER, thanks for the link. I had seen it a while ago, but have been searching for it for the last 2 weeks. He makes the wiring part sound pretty easy, but auto electrics and I are not the best of friends, so I would like someone else to be the guinea pig
  4. SK, If you check the link in my last post, the guy is using 6 coils (different to the option the NZ guy is offering). So I presume the 6 coil configuration is not a wasted spark setup. I get what you mean about the AU coil pack and the falcon having a ~5K rev limit, but I would have thought the individual Bosch coils, being fairly generic, would have to be able to cater for a higher RPM.
  5. SK, I am using a series 1 R33 ecu. I have heard there are issues with the dwell time from someone else, but other people who have done the conversion don't seem to have an issue. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...topic=89824&hl= I believe the bosch mec717 are a single coil, so would I be right in assuming that this is NOT a wasted spark setup?
  6. Hey Jason, I have an R33 boost solenoid for sale....check my for sale thread.
  7. Apparently some paint places will make up aerosol cans if you give them the colour code. No idea who they might be though. Call a smash repair place and ask them.
  8. Interesting tip on the RB20 igniter, thanks I would have thought the RB20 and series 1 RB25 igniters would be almost identical.....oh well
  9. I have no idea if yours is broken or not. The unit I am selling was working fine when removed from my car. It is reasonably easy to install but you will need to get a wheel alignment afterwards
  10. That would be very helpful, thanks
  11. Added pics of turbo No word from EBC buyer, so still for sale Bump
  12. ROFL at Andrews BBQ lighting skillz......Awesome
  13. Top job Erin, Andrew, James and all others involved. Don't you love it when a plan comes together Beau and I had a "leisurely" drive back via Fernvale. Nice roads, but holy crap that was some heavy rain.
  14. Holy shit!!! that IS dedication! Are you permanently blind now?
  15. I have an R33 stocker, but no elbow or actuator. Yours for the low low price of $280
  16. Your install looks correct although I can't see the line going to the wastegate actuator. Here is a pic of mine installed and working perfectly. Just in case that second line confuses anyone, there is only one line in and out of the turbotech. That second hose cable tied under the controller was originally going to the factory boost solenoid. I have blocked it with a bolt and cable tied it there to keep it out of the way.
  17. wanna swap 'em for a BIG Greddy boost gauge?
  18. check this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=95464
  19. Performs pretty well for a basic EBC Simple high/low toggle with a separate pot for each setting. Never had a problem with reliability and holds boost fine. Closed/Open loop design. Accurate boost regulation. Fast boost attenuation. Two boost settings. Compact Design. Full in car adjustment. Competitve price. 9Bar/130 PSI solenoid. Easy to install with 2 built in pre-sets, easily adjusted by two knobs in the cabin."
  20. exactly the same as this one: http://www.nismo.com.au/pricelists/Hybrid/powerdigger1.jpg
