LAG + GATE + REV LIMITER = FUN TIMES!

Oh I forgot to mention Brisby and my special friends.... THE HAMSTERS!! Those little fellas worked so hard all weekend to keep the silver bullet running, there were a few moments of touch and go where we thought they hadn't quite made it through the night but sure enough they came back, i'm sure the little fellas are having a well deserved rest (if they haven't passed away, if they have passed away may the little guys RIP!).

Well here I go with my rant (sorry its so long!), where to start, maybe the highlights: - Gate - Driving on a rotor with a massive crack right through on the mini wang and the long wang! Thank Tom for bringing us new Rotors! - Gate - Fourwheel driving the silver bullet onto a mound of dirt to make for an easy oil change whilst not requiring a jack! - Gate - Scoring a H2 Hummer and trailer for Adam and Chris to drive back to melbourne by asking the owner the following "Can I give you $500 to tow that R33 to Melbourne for us?" the owner answered "Here's the key's just take it yourselves" I didn't realise people like that actual existing, absolute champions! WTF!! - Gate - Brisby & Mav's abusive sunday morning, well it was me yelling the abuse but it was self inflicted guys!! - Gate - Bris and I both taking out third place in our class for driver and co driver! - Gate - Ryan & Jarrod = Team organised, they bought a spare gearbox as well as many other useful bits and pieces!! Oh and congrats on the class results as well guys! - Gate - Mr.P1 rolling the Aston into an EVO!! - Gateing brisby when he was trying to sleep in the car. - Brisby's Car which is an absolute monster but I want it! - Gate. - Team Support Mav, Bec and Min, you guys are awesome!! - Gate - Snowy & Blaise well done! You guys killed it! - Gating people on the freeway - Chris & Norton aka Handbags, you guys had a rough weekend but pulled it together and still cleaned up with the silverware! Well Done! - Gate - TEAM SAU TAKING HOME THE SILVERWARE! - Gate - Birsby running away from the tv crew and making me do our 'team' interview on my own! There is no I in team Mr brisby but as you mentioned there is an I in Brisby! - Gate - REV LIMITER is an indication of when you should change gears in an RB20, they are strong and LOVE IT! Brisby Brisby Brisby, you my friend are an absolute champion, I had an awesome time and it was all thanks to you, I binned my car a few weeks ago and didn't think I was going to make it to Dutton. Even when we were confirmed entries I was still unsure I was going to pick up driving your car as it is such a 'handful' but it was an absolute dream to drive (It would be a bit of a handful for the average punter though ). Go Hard or go home! Team Gatecrashers! Team let's bin it! We wearn't the quickest but we were the loudest!

What an awesome event/night! Highlights: SILVER BULLET - I love 32's!! Flange or Snatch! Drift Landcruiser nearly bet Evan driving James' EVO on the skid pan! Flying Dolphins! Bris trying to kill me during his 80% run on the long wang. Handbags providing countless funny moments and then not remembering any of them this morning! (Can't wait for photos) Spew Buckets prepared from Taco Baz on all tables! Meeting a member of the bandidos on the walk home, Scary! Paying some local $10 to drive us home because we were so smashed and listening to the driver singing some random hip hop crap in the car, not even the other people in the car knew what she was singing. Ryan on the phone to Jarrod late last night saying "I can't believe you've gone home, all the other co drivers are here, you're sacked from co driving at Dutton" and sure enough Jarrod came back! Thanks for letting me steer your car bris, I love it, gate is sooo cool and the silver bullet loves the rev limiter!! Looking forward to a fun time at Dutton next week! Team Gate!

I made it through the day without a scratch in Brisby's car (however i did have a nice spin, definition of nice spin = I didn't hit anything!) , I went very very slowly and I'm glad to have done another track day so soon after last weekend! Need to get used to no ABS! Thanks Bris for giving me a drive! I'll go back out at Deca next week and hopefully get a better feel for the car... Group 1 posted some super quick times, well done!

Entry is in, I'll be running on foot around the horse track in the middle, holding a steering wheel and making car noises....

I have fond memories of being very drunk at the GP06 and breaking the aeriel conectors off the lada after trying to get down off the roof, right after this photo was taken.. And yes I did deny it, because I didn't realise it was me that broke it.... drunk!!

I'm in! Just need to get my car fixed, I think it's the alternater, will be fixed before the end of next week. I have two more events before Dutton to get this fixed, Sandown and Deca. I just hope the egnition doesn't cut out at Sandown going into turn 1 or turn 4. That doesn't sound like much fun! Might be worth going to a track day (If there is one!) on the 12th of August at Sandown or Calder to see if the problem is fixed at least that will give me an extra weekend before Dutton...
