  1. Alot of ppls compares the veyron to CCR and so on, the big mac is the only thing that remotesly comes close to it and we're talking day light in difference here. As for comapring this car to a back yard bang together is absurd, with all due respect to Leewah GTR is not even a shadow of this car. The biggest damage in those fotos are the owners ego or the humiliation he's gonna cop next he meet up with his friends, for being the first "privateer" to bung one.
  2. This turbo would be pushing sh*t uphill to do a +400RWKW, I done one a few years back with a 1.02 rear housing with a modified front, motor was built from sump to cam covers, and it produced, wait for it. A pissy 470RWHP on 98 fuel But to pay due when it is dserve, the turbo was on song for the most part of the rev band and nice flat torqur curve. Disclaimer: I donot claim to be the great car mods, or have absolute knowledge of everything mechanical. The results are from personal experiences and may not be reduplicate at a later date or by 3rd party HAHA
  3. DBS, I know of a few AM owners, to sum it all up in one word "Reliability" or should I say lack of it!!!!
  4. Yes as the title say, I have seen some appallling behaviour by ppls in skyline in the past. But this TOOL have raise the bench marks to an all time hight. The rego of this R33 is --- 69 light blue r33 gtst. The driver of the described vehicle was behind myself and cut short to the inside divided bus lane only to come back out missing me by a bees dick. If you are on here and reading this, be certain that next time I will ram Your F#cking car with whatever I'm in at the time. There is a time and place for everything, I hope grow up before we all read about you in the papers for all the wrong reasons.
  5. Plenty of BOGANS drives skylines nowaday. I run into atleast 1 everytime I head up the coast in the skyline, and it never cease to amazes me that the tools always try and get a race when I'm spotted and it always seem to be around the burpengary/morayfield areas. Sorry, if you live in those areas and drive a civilized human being.
  6. He's no lotto winner, even if you won the lottos, these cars are hard to come by, especially those fitted with a $30 000.00 optional ceramic brakes package. he'll be going "ohh crap, eveything he drives from now on will cost 25% of market value to insure!!! suck it in"
  7. Can we get photos of waitress, while your at it Anna. Also, thanks or the lovely ice cream the other night.
  8. ATM I'll 99% of attending, unless i get run over by a bus. So I'm in, but wont be in the skyrice.
  9. Every modified car has a different drive characteristic. Anyone who jumps into a strange car and guns it is a FOOL, let alone one that supposedly has 400+hp atw. To me that's NO accident, more like reckless driving.
  10. I ran 2 different blocks a one stage, one was sleeved and the other was an older block from a r32, both have put in excess of 234234 grasshoppers power = wheelspins at 150kph (semi slicks) if I dare to jump on it. But for general use I can't see problems with RBs in general unless u got other probs ie loose rod bolt of disintegrating big end bearings yadada-yadada, you know what I mean.
  11. My interpretation of the Qld modifications law is that, you can pretty much do anything you want, just don't get pull over by a traffic cop, even in cars you have yet to modify.
  12. Having driven a F430 , it is ALOT faster than a 360 in every aspect, but the most you could say, it's a fun car, but nothing earth shattering about it beside picking up car "slart" Also I believe Porsche are acquiring the motor for the new panamera from Audi. The natural match up for the GTR is the atmo 911. Last I looked, there is nothing left in the Porsche cupboard. BMW have become a "poser" car company. I know I would have offended some ppls here, but it the honest facts, Look at there line up and look carefully at what is actually under the metal skin, and sticking semi-slick on a car doesn't means it had additional"engineering" over the run of the mill. Well to put it bluntly, I looked at a M6 and it took me 2 seconds to crossed it of the list, on a car costing almost $300k they choose to fit 2 cent brakes? come on be realistic.
  13. If you're going to live on the coast, Look in Main beach, nice posi and quality surrounding, minus the yobs!
  14. LOL, damn car isn't on our shores yet and here we are putting up possible challenges for it, LOL. Imagine what the motoring press would do.
  15. I wonder, if they matched the interior to the exterior, so, it looks oem
  16. If ppls here like AUDIs, well FYI the next RS6 due early-mid 2008 rolls out with a twin turbo V10 power is rumoured to be around 450Kw AWD for the price of 250-275k, This is why in another thread I have mentioned possible Oz delivered GTR will have to be priced way below the 200k marks for ppls to seriously look at them, IMHO. The RS6 is AUDI performance flag bearer!!
  17. If it's the same 34 as I'm thinking the dude that drives it is a taiwanese fella and is new to the country, possibly got disorientate and got onto the wrong side, they do drive on that side of the rd overthere, and the 34 driver doesn't mind using the gas also, but seem to lacks skilz"runs and hide"
  18. Thank you for organising the dinner lastnight, it was good to see new face, but then, I rarely get out due to i/s works, but dinner was good and company was better even thought some did eat my food"by mistake" cheers wayne
  19. I should be able to make this one, so please make a reservation for me, thanks wayne
  20. I can't speak for everyone who buys a 200K+ car, but it's not about standing inline with general public who buys a 20k pulsar, it's about getting the right ppls to look after your car and getting the right advice when you needs it. For example, I wouldn't be happy if I paid big dollars for a car and then when come to service it, only to find out, your supposedly "special" car is getting the once over by a 1st year apprentice, including the test drive. This is where alot of the "exclusive" cars amongst the luxo car makers make the disctinction. They would only be worked on by factory nominate personel on alot of cases and no one else would be allowed to move or lift the bonnet. Reasons why sometime it take a few weeks in advance to book a certain car in for service, and not the drive in the morning and pick it up in the arvo job. If nissan can address this, they will no doubt getting closer to hitting the mark to be a successful 100K car seller.
  21. I would consider myself as a potential buyer for the new GTR, there are numerous hurdles nissan has to get over. Performance, currently all 4 germans marks are in a power war and we're gonna see 350kw RS4 Audi soon and early 2008 450KW Audi RS6 both being awd format priced respectively 170K and 260K I'm guessing the second one, As for Porsche, only until you driven the new Cayman, it's will take a special car to beat it around the track despite of HP. As for Ferrari, well it no major concern, as unless you're on the rotation, you wont be supplied with a car in the next 5 years. BMW and Merc are struggling abit. But what I'm saying here is that, ppls who shell out approx $200K do their homeworks and they looks at resale and dealer services and badge. Go and look at a nissan dealership and one of the euro dealership and you'll see what nissan is up against in term of resale/service and price. To be honest, if it does makes it here, it will be a "flag bearer" in limited numbers and nissan will be selling everyone of these at a lost, hoping it will create interest in the brand and attracts new buyers to the makes. That is my thought on how it might be here.
  22. You'll find alot of 4wd uses those device, been a 4wd owner who frequent fraser Is. alot, for it to works properly the protected item has to get wet from time to time, otherwise, it's as useful as tits on a bull. It uses the same voltage correction technology as steel ship. The navy runs steel vessel and has a much more complex abeilt same theory set up.
  23. Haha, ppls buys hi-po cars so they can do the speed limits..... mmm errr... that doesn't compute. Anyway, I've lost mine a numbers of times for endangering the public by doing 10-15 kays over the limit. Yes I am a speedster and I really don't give a f*ck what ppls say about speeds kill or hoons should be rounded up and shot. The only reason I still got my license atm, is that I don't speed, but I break every other possible road laws out there, where as before I sped now and then and obey all the traffic laws. So go figure.
  24. UMM OK, I bought into the country one of the very first D-Jetro and tried to get it running as smooth as the normal power FC. To be honest, it does get very close to the normal AFM power FC, but once thing is that, it rip through the fuel if your driving it hard, I have no explaintion as to why. I have now gone back to the normal power FC and stuck the D-jetro in the other skyline, which I selldome drive due to the way the car powers down.
