The seat in that F6 looks like its been trim with a bull scrotum, to be polite. cars will always have fault, but a $175k car and have a dealership baulk and refuse to fix a fault is simply, how would I say it.. hrmmmmm. "crap" now that's another polite word toward Nissan. But to be honest here, nissan oz isnt really about selling prestige cars, they sells family cars with the odd rocket thrown in every couple of decade. BMW, Audis and Merc, wouldnt dare to pull that crap off, dunno what the italians would, would they fix it or send the mafias around.

Nissan is tryin to make a 2 tonne machine go fast and something has to give. I think the electronic gremlins might be there to safeguard the car from self destruction. The original 32 was built as a race car first and then road car, and the R35 is a road car first, shoed horned to be a race car.

Fake Ferraris On Top Gear Live Show
hungry6 replied to mxfly's topic in General Automotive Discussion
That is good fake. all the proportion are wrong, and if anyone needs to know, one thing that is pretty hard to fake on ferrari externally is the shield on the front guard in metal, they are embosed into the sheet metal and the badge is stuck on and clear coated over so removal is not an option. One question I wanted to asked is why were they using fake ferraris? as I didn't watch the show. -
People who buys 200K car, chases the warranty for 2 reasons. time and money. A non modify exotic fetches alot more at time of trade in and a car with warranty, all you have to do is drop it of at the dealership, they do the running around and give u something else to drive, maybe not the same thing, but it gets you around. As for JDM car that is priced similarly to a locally delivered one is a no brainer. I wonder how much has nissan dialled in as the cost of the warranty to locally delivered car. That should be sum and then some more as a discount on a JDM car.. I hate to point it out, but when a large organisation target a particular group or business, if they havent sent u broke, they probably have wounded u in ways u yet to realize.

HRmmm under 3 sec??? I would take that with a VERY large grain of salt....

LOL. I just read that agreement to the letter, UMmm to put it in layman term, the GTR pretty much doesnt come with any sort of warranty. that doco above an what ever the hell is in the owner manual, will leave Nissan enough roon to deny any warranty clim if they want. To me it does sound like they are having suspect mechanical issues and are out to cover there arses. I know that Ferrari and Posches dont even dare to wave anything remotely close to that contract agreement above at their clients, and for Nissan to do it is one brave move or just doing it out of desperation.

I dont know why Porsche is crying foul, the 911 makes abit of money, but the real cream is in the VW based Cayenne suv. I supposed when your flag bearer get shot in the heart, it does takes your breath away, and Porsche would want to defend their flag bearer ifthey have to stoop to such errant comments. Remember the comment is from an engineer from Porsche and not Porsche themself.
-
Interesting bit of auto warfare. I think Porsche got caught with their pants down rippin customers off. Porsche deserved to have their arse raped by Nissan. For years they have engineered car to suit marketing campaign and protect the 911 and the cows have finally come home for them. LOL "sitting back and wait for a car mag to do independent test"

Looks very tidy and probably more liveable than a F430 which make the 360 a once a month car. Be looking forward to se it in the flesh.

This is prolly my all time fav. engine noise. It does seem to make alot of current holden-ford-nissan soud like a can of insect repellant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tk8qPlOKB0I...feature=related

Hrmmm let me see, Nissan service versus Lexus legendary service. Can you even compare the 2?

I think ur cats might have been up to no good and peeve someone off. It doesnt take much to trigger some ppls these day. From what your saying and the time they been missing, I dont think they're going to turn up anytime soon. BTW does anyone around you have a greyhound or a whippet, as I've have personally seen the aftermath of such an incident, it not exactly pretty. Cause I think these are possibly the only 2 domesticate animal that will bowl a cat over.

I have finally finished a "summer" house where I ill be staying over the colder seasons and to get away from Brizzy hectic pace. But I'm up there most long week ends. So far, it's just skyline/ski/boats and one of those little red car. Everything else will be based here in Bris. As for fotos, for some reason I cant seem to upload and my PA isnt allowed in my private residence, so just word or someone else has fot a foto of my car can put it up. thanks.

So Dan do you know where I can get large supply of cheap psuedoephedrine???? Now that your an industrial chemist. ahahaha. As for the r35.. poooo!!! the more ppls look the higher they're gonna stick the prices up. If everyone who holds an order for this car wait till the day they announce the "official' price. comes in a couple of day later and cancels on mass, I bet Nissan will be shaving 20-30K of per car, maybe even more ones never knows.

Brisbane, south brissie to be exact. I thought it was time to treat my car with some respect and decentcy, It was getting pretty neglected collect mango leaves for the last few years

Ok fellas, As of lastnight I have relocate the mighty orange beast to the mid sunshine coast around Caloundra area. I was out lastnight and it looked pretty quiet. So one more skyline to the north coast area.

This is an area where nissan oz. has got to becarefull is that, the car has been launch OS and it should be here ASAP In the old day manufacturer took their time to develope car, but in this day and age, the euros are take 4 years to develope a new model. By the time the GTR gets here Porsche-Ferrari-Audi-Merc-Merc will be busting our shore with new models and newr technology. 2009. it will lop in here at the same time as The all new RS6 V10 twin turbo, Possible a new and better Caymen S, Revised AM V8 and the new F450 is inly 12 or so months away, I dont even know what BMW and Mer has ion there line up, we're only talking euros here and what about other japanese makers. So delaying it on our shores will only disadvatage the car and not make it anymore desirable than it already is. It's a Nissan not a Ferrari. Nissan Oz. wake up to yourself. I charge large corporation plenty for my advices and you're getting this for free, but in the end the "fringe dweller" have nothing to lose and less at stake than Nissan OZ. Keep your eyes on the ball as it doesnt come around often. Wasn

Yeah, my little red car is special to me, haha. I might be out there to watch, we azn dont know how to drive so I wont participate.
-
Ahhh I've seen that 31 around, I was in a red car at the time.

All I can say is that this forum and other car forums are frequent by marketing ppls from all sort of makes, so yes they will be reading this thread and yes, they take some of the level headed comments on board but at the end of the day ppls here see GTR as a passion and nissan see it as $$$$$, facts of life and on that email alone would have made the "fringe dweller" shit their dacks... litterally. The law are their for intepretation from different side and one way of getting your point accross is to perpetuate a proceeding and see how deep your pockets against your opponents, and you cannot defend yourself if your not there on the day. The only way I see this going anywhere we all want it to go is revolt on mass and deny the respect that the R35 deerves and the "target demographic" buyers will soon go back to their Porsche/BMW
-
LOL. Hrmmmm "Our GTR buyer?" I think someone out must be poking in the right places for Nissan to be this hysteria about their GTR sales. "I still stand today, that I made the right decision to cancel my order!!!!!" Because I saw this coming from ages back and I got flamed from plenty of members here for bagging out the R35.. The most part is that, alot of the current GTR owner believes, they are the target demographics of the R35 sales, or believes they are owe in someway of lifting the GTR legend ontt the pesdestal. By way of cheaper pricing of the current car. The email above just confirm my position with nissan and their business approach. So I will never buy a OZ. delivered R35 GTR Because Nissan have got to get it into their head that, the GTR maybebe great and good, but it aint the be all or end all in sport cars. The one area that will hurt the price of the current GTR is the percieved images in the general public eyes. Scenario 1. You rolls up to a 5 star establishment and a 911 and GTR rocks up at the same time and their is only one car parking space left. I wonder which driver will be walking from further down the rd.
-
I think alot of ppls are speculating prices on the new GTR base of what it cost... I think the sticker price on the day will shock a few ppls and will have a few wanting refunds for deposits after learning of the "official" price. I cannot for the life of me, see the new GTR below $150K. More closer to $175K on road. This is the reality. sites like this and OS have generated so much interest in the new wheels that they will charge what ever the market will prepare to pay. OZ. is a fairly small market and if the allocation is smaller than number of waiting customer, then we have a situation nissan wants to be in and I think this is going to happen. So anyone say they will only charge this because it only cost them that, really havent bought a "specialty" $150K plus car. Ohh the warranty will be on the same term as the Tiida, but you can bet your balls on it, if anything was out of the norm flashes up at the servicing time, you will be notify by mail to stick your warranty in the shredder. This is what the hi-po Euro do, reason why not so many are moded, and I cant see Nissan doing anything otherwise.
