I think you'll find that the system wont reset untill the car is turned off. This means that you wont be able to drive in 4wd then flip the switch and hey presto rwd. Correct me if i am wrong.

Not an rb20 please. Get something decent like an rb25. Or better yet dont do a conversion. The sr's are well known for their ability to double their power with bolt on mods. with over 2 grand you could get a few parts that would go on that would make decent hp, like a frount mount and a new turbo, possibly injectors though you would be streching your budget.

There's a post on tyres. Here's what japcab had to say. North End tyres bro 14a carrick drve, tullamarine. Second hand tyres with 85%-95% tread on em. Cheap as chips, i scored 285/R18/30 Pirelli Pzeros for $150 fitted. check em out. Personally i will get my tyres from them to. Oh and nice car.
