Aftermarket Steering Wheels
D.I.Y. Mik replied to Whoa Black Boaty's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Offset. You gotta think about offset, or whatever you get wont work right. So sit in your car with the seat adjusted for your legs to be at the perfect position. Then measure how far off your hands are from being at the perfect position. Boss kits and wheels come in different offsets, so both will add up to the perfect offset for you if you get the right ones. I like my 50mm deep dish ( i have long legs ) Velo suede, with the yellow band at the top. Good for racing and stuff. -
Rb20Det Fuel System Help Needed.
D.I.Y. Mik replied to mattymatty4's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Black plugs is way too rich, so the injectors are too big without some sort of control to make it run right. sounds like they are using all the fuel, so none is returned. What mods were done to that motor? Compression test? Leaking injectors? Blocked or kinked fuel line? Clean filters? Afm plugged in? How did you test fuel pressure? Rubber hose can kink under suction, like the fuel pump intake. Once i left a rag in my intake pipe, doh! That made it run like sht. -

kids love the boost, mine cracks if i take him home without a bit of turbo action, and i have to take him for a cruise through coppins and back so we get some good boost up the hill. busted an old 17mm socket toaday, changing wheels. The skyline has been stashed down the back under a cover, untill i get my license back. 6 months will fly by, but i will get a mate to drive it to the jap car show. -
I got a bruised brain for christmas. Bashed my head on the edge of my work bench cos im unco. Did it thursday night, still sore today.

C'mon guys, you know how it works. You have to put in some effort to get something out of life. All you 35 DIYers should be posting tutorials and such. It doesnt matter where, just make it available to all. At least have some clear links for new 35ers to find you guys. I am very thankfull for those that came before me and taught me so much. I have repaid as much as i can with my contributions in fabrication, tutorials, build thread etc... It would have been the same thing when 34s came out, people need to be pioneers and share the experience with us. AND, for some 35 owners, its their first Skyline..... Try and be nice and welcome them to the group. -
And i saw his 32 at Trojan today..... There is a slight rub mark from the strut brace rubbing the under bonnet carpet thingy, ill bet its giving him the shts. Apart from that, as usual theres not even a speck of dust on it. Also saw a hammered p plate 33, very bad, but still driving. An s13? White, who waved at me, i just got a smile in, but im sure he knows who i am. And a guy in Fyshwick this-arvo, this time it was gone before i saw what skyline it was, i think a 32, saw a smile but. I need to slow down a bit and enjoy the scenery. I should get back into the Hillclimbing, it keeps sht off the street.

Most awesome egg and bacon rolls at Chris's takeaway. Actually everything there is very good. And im very fussy. Intimidation. There not even that great at the track because its too much...... unless your a total nutcase speedfreak. Oh, and 200kph wheelies.

Dunno, im not good at spotting 33 gtr's. It did have the higher wing, so probly was a gtr.

In Mitchell this morning, and saw a maroon r33 from Vic with the oddest sound.... rb? sounded like a 4 cyl. Maybe its like that guy who came to the bus stop when we were meeting for a cruise. He had some 4 cyl on 20psi instead of an RB. Its a bit strange in such a heavy car.

Original wheel is yuck. Something nice is not expensive. My suede deep dish Velo is one of the better mods i made, and it was cheap. Yellow strip keeps you aware of where its pointing. And theres a stainless system for GTR under my house....... -
Shes been around for a while, try google images........

And get rear pads too.......

(1987) I remember going with a mate and his dad to his dads work, one weekend in Melbourne. It was a car badge factory, and we were mucking around on the forklift while his dad "did stuff", in hindsight it was probly something dodgy. So many badges...... may have even had n13 badges considering the year. Need to buy an impact driver for my door latches, to do them up properly tight. And does anyone know who does compliance work in ACT? I need a new fuel neck thingy. -
More like $120 for cheap standard pads. $200-$300 for good ones. Good thing is, its VERY easy to DIY. Wheels off, pop the spring out, swap pads, and put it all back. I found a little bit of metal riveted to one of my rear pads. It was bent around to act as an alarm. When the pad got worn down, the metal started to make a horrible scraping sound on the disc.

A Camira cam? So a toyota cam fits in... cool Japanese. I wonder... how easy would it be to find one in a wreck, and how cheap it would be. I spose there may be other issues like lifters and bearings, whats the go, is it a thing people do? -
Couldnt find you guys to say "see yous later" Saw a 4x4 and caravan on its side on the highway, just missed seeing it go over by a second or two apart from that it was a good day. A few Skylines there today. Spoke to the guys that own the blue 32 GTR, nice and simple fun car to drive, makes me feel a lot better about mine, they are old cars. That white 34 is very fast. Wow. Missed the rain on the way home, a little bit of wet road was all.

I saw one in Belco the other day, with plastic chrome bonnet vents and bits hanging off it. Looked like a cheap plastic toy. Nasty.
-
Keen. So... what time? 10 ish? Ill most likely head home early too. Fixed my brakes, it was a little bit of metal riveted to the pad, bent over to act as a pad wear alarm. Theres enough pad thickness on there for now, but i will change it soon. I have a full set of pads waiting to go on.

Cut/polish Fresh Acrylic Paint (Help?)
D.I.Y. Mik replied to JustinFormosa's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Gun set up..... i had so much trouble. And for me it was barely 20 degrees. I totally agree with you ARTZ, but lack of skill can make it difficult. For example; i dont have fingermarks from sanding, i have a mogul field. I hope it turns out better than mine. -
1089 is the integer after 1088 and before 1090. It is a square number (33 squared), a nonagonal number, a 32-gonal number, a 364-gonal number, and a centered octagonal number. 1089 is the first reverse-divisible number. The next is 2178 (= 1089 × 2 = 8712/4), and they are the only four-digit numbers that divide their reverse. Its the magic number
