  1. that's what it looks like - except vacuum pipe comes out the bottom instead of coming out the side... cedric's rb25 neo?? diff part number...
  2. I had the engine light come recently on in my S2 RB25DET NEO stagea, It is completely standard with the exception of the standard high boost mode which was done almost 3 years ago. i had a engine diagnosis done and it's shown to be: Code 26: Boost Pressure Sensor. Ecu was reset but still no fix. I've done some reading and found: "NEO has a "Boost Pressure Sensor" aka map sensor on the back of the engine rocker covers." "Code 26 Boost Pressure sensor (Turbo models) The boost pressure sensor is open or shorted (abnormally high or low voltage is registered). Check harness and connector, check for boost pressure leaks, check boost pressure sensor" I've removed the sensor and had a look at the small filter inbetween it and the J pipe and it doesn't seem dirty or blocked. I was wondering if i am looking at the correct sensor and it sounds like it is actually sensor related? or possibly a pressure leak somewhere? I looked at the connector and it is clean and the wiring looks to be unbroken. The car still runs perfectly (well appears to) and from this error code coming on, shown no actual sign of change in idle/drive/performance - The only thing that brought it to my attention was the light... It does not R&R and it does not misfire. The sensor is a small one located on a metal bracket off the firewall (situated above about #6 cylinder/coilpack) It is a small black box about 5cm long by about 3 cm wide - with 2 x 10mm bolts screwing it to the bracket. Underneath it has a small vacuum hose which goes to a very small air filter (about the diameter of a 10 cent coin and about 1cm thick) and then a little more vacuum hose and then attaches to the standard intercooler piping just after the throttle body. It read on the top: "PS66-01 9X19 HITACHI BOOST SENSOR" Any help would be greatly appreciated in fixing this problem and making the engine light go away. Cheers -Matt
  3. Hey guys, I'm after a boost pressure sensor for my car. Engine is RB25DET NEO. It read on the top: "PS66-01 9X19 HITACHI BOOST SENSOR" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also after some stagea front shockers to suit a 99 RS4 standard (good condition/no knocks) or aftermarket. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Located in SA, happy to pay postage if it's reasonable. Cheers -Matt
  4. WTB: Front Standard Stagea suspension to suit '99 RS4. Must be good condition - no knocks. located in SA. cheers -Matt
  5. ...for info i sold my RB24 earlier this year - just found out with a gt3540 (unsure on spec) it is now making 350rwkw's!!!!!
  6. I think with standard oil pump on idle it should be around 40psi ish. when you are under acceleration should go up to about 80psi. however with the different gear it will probably have greater pressure at idle...
  7. Good to hear it all went well. Fingers crossed for ya it's all good now! keep us posted!
  8. I do have part numbers... never used that FAST thing - can anyone help?? big box - 47850 71L00 (and has 9Y06 underneath) small box - 1700 1 73L00 then A63-000 162 underneath then 9Y03 underneath
  9. ok... so i removed 2 boxes today... (car did have hicas / abs etc..) are they both amplifiers????? one is a small one about 8cm x 3cm taken from under parcel shelf on drivers side moreso the other is about A5 size... taken from just off centre moreso toward passender side from under parcel shelf. they both for stereo??????????????? ta
  10. keep at it mate!!! what did u end up deciding on with the oil pump?
  11. got a rear window motor / mechanism if that's what you're talking about...
  12. awesome, cheers guys - in the bin it goes
  13. dunno if you guys have seen this before??? http://autolure.blogspot.com/2008/12/nissa...kyline-r34.html http://autolure.blogspot.com/2008/12/nissa...nstruction.html
  14. dont have pics... but hoping someone knows what i'm on about... it's a metal box under the parcel shelf in ceffys. WHAT IS IT???? someone suggested Hicas related????
  15. there's the link - nevermind the 'rb26' i spoke to them and they can fit it to the pump you are using (for me it will be rb30) http://www.powertune.com.au/rb26parts.html
  16. dry sump if you've got the cashola In my 26/30 build i think i'm going a powertune gearset for the oil pump - it's billet and looks the goods... mated with the oil restrictors, external oil drain, baffled sump, moroso oil accumulator i'm hoping the oil system should be fairly good
  17. awesome... so how do ppl rate the powertune gearsets? i'm looking at getting one of these fitted to the RB30 pump... ta
  18. fuel tank is in great condition! it's even got fuel in it still lol. Saying that though not real keen to send it...
  19. any updates on this? i'm missing my RB24 need updated running vids
  20. no rack sorry - i did have one but it had busted seals... so i went from cefiro hicas to s14 non-hicas rack. btw - reo and guards sold pending payment....
  21. Thanks for the offer Ross, but i'm located in SA so a little bit too far away decided not to 'swiss cheese' the interior as i reackon CAMS may not like it... i think i'm on the right track... just takes time...
  22. thanks guys, i may hold off on using a hole saw then lol. Like someone said i'll be cutting off the loose brackets etc that are designed for everyday usage (eg brackets for rear seats etc). I'm using Work Meisters 18x9,10's on the car. and have 4 piston calipers front. I am building a 26/30 for it atm, so a lot of those items will be lighter and balanced to suit. I think my main concern is 'chopping' the loom up... as i dont wont to stuff it up. Do you simply untape the loom, and trace back the wires not needed back to the ecu plug - so any guidance on this would be awesome!!!! realistically (like most) i'm planning on working with what i have, which is probably already a heavier car than most and try and lighten it as much as possible retaining most of my re-usable parts at a minimum cost. so please continue with the help, i appreciate it! Oh an BTW i weigh f*ckall so cant help in that department lol
  23. Hi i have RB20 Cam gear cover - with RB20 stamped into it RB20 Cam gear cover - no stamping on it RB20 Coilpack cover RB20 Cam Cover (IN&EX) $120 the lot located in SA cheers -Matt
  24. Hey guys, i'm in the process of trying to reduce weight from the body of my cefiro before it goes off to get the weld in cage Things i'm looking at doing/done so far are: remove carpet/deadener matting remove sunroof cut parts of inner door out removed heater core all the interior will consist of is 2 x velo seats, cams roll cage, dash (emptied and pretty much just a dash cluster fitted), fire extinguisher. small switch panel. exterior wise already consists of c/f bonnet / boot. fibreglass guards. rear window is perspec from factory. I'm going o keep the glass windows/motors in for now. I'm seeking advice where to reduce more weight, - I'm going rid all the unused wires from the wiring loom (are there any examples / DIY's?) - Also i've seen/heard of using a holesaw to cut holes to reduce metal... i'm after better examples of this/opinions what/where to use. Any help would be great cheers -Matt
