  1. i like the 350z and love the look of the accords as for the maxima i just assumed that nissan wanted a more modern look so put a few more curves in it. It doesnt remind me of a euro car, and it is very affordable when u look at all its features along with its nice smooth reving engine. I think it is a bargin considering what you get, even for the top of the range model which is only about 50 thousand yes?? thats my opinion anyways...
  2. hey what is with our mate bobby carr saying he will not consider more driver training as an option as it is just not practical and would not do a thing to reduce teen deaths, but then says he welcomes curfews... ok maybe thats practical to him but what about the rest of nsw (teens and parents included) that stand to be disadvantaged by this 'practical' option. i just cant understand why more driver training would so quickly be ignored, but then again i guess the costs would be too much for them. i think we definately need some impartial body bringing together all the facts and figures and then recommending what would be feasible and could work with the best interests of all nsw citizens in mind. But i know i am asking the impossible there but oh well... maybe a tv show like 60 minutes should host a big debate where they have u21's in one section, parents in another, and then politicans (ie carl scully, bob carr, ken moroney and co) in another. now that would certaintly be somehting to watch...

  5. my view is that the idea of curfews and passenger limits is a mehtod that will not work as if it does happen so many once law abiding citizens will suddenly become criminals. i mean what are you gonna say to 2 mates when u have to taek them home after a night out, "oh sorry i can only take one home, one of you will have to walk", but i guess we aint goin out anymore as we cant drive to go out, unless of course we will all catch taxi's from everywhere so we should all ask for wage rises to be able to pay for this. suppose the cabbies will be happy. I think more driver training is essential as the current tests are wastes of time and money as they are just way too simple. maybe they should consider that as well. power to weight limitations for p-platers would probably be a good idea for the govt to try first. Although there would be huge arguments against it would probably be a step in the right direction as i have seen many (not all p-platers of course) p-platers do very silly things with high performance cars. but what the limit will be is unknown as the r33 and 32's are very detuned i would think in stock form whereas the v8's these days are just trying to hunt big power figures. trying to get people to stop using mobile phones are a good idea so maybe big penalties are the way for all drivers to stop using them whilst driving.
  6. i own a 33 and have to say i have no problems driving with it when it activates above 60 -80km/h or whatever it is. But as is stated by Silver Arrowz if you want to do track work with it then my advice is take it off as well.

  8. i agree with the fact that it is hard to see out the back when it rains and all the water sits on the window and doesnt move. my car has one and im happy it does because of the stated reason. So, i thought that it would have been standard...
  9. hi i own a 33 not 34 but one without flashing lights and gizmos would be the hybrid boost controller. i hear it does the job and is cheap for a solenoid boost controller.

  11. im pretty sure the r33 autos have a viscous lsd also (not sure bout 32). the rpms in auto r33's from my experience sit on about 3 000rpms at 120km/h
  12. if u go lower i reckon another inch will do the trick, having it sitting just above the top of the tyres will look good. go any lower and run the risk of struggling to get up driveways if u end up gettin a front bar. and like others have said the condition of many of our roads are poor so u will be feeling the bumps A LOT more if u go too low
  13. yes having a whinge as well as about a city carpark as well when i went empire hotel a while ago. anyway the way out was a joke as the street u turn ont was tiny and somehow they allow cars to park on it as well so in order to get out without going over the gutter and scrapping the shit out of your car u have to go forward reverse forward reverse quite a few times so u dont hit the parked cars. oh boy it was horrible and to top things off the garage door closes after a while for security reasons and as i was in the process of gettin out the door closed and just missed and i mean just missed landing on the boot. anyway viscount if ur getting new rims it shouldnt be too bad as the ones on now are your back ups. and i suppose thats ur car in the pic, it looks great.
  14. thanks yeh i found walbro (550hp) pumps for 250-300 bucks which is cheaper than the bosch 044 pump but thanks for reply
  15. well i got mine from japlink in haberfield back in 2002 and i managed to get 3k off the price but i guess they still would made a profit but hey if they are a little pricey so be it as i was very happy with what i got (and still am) and was in great condition inside and out and my mechanic said the engine was in absolutely marvelous condition for a car thats now 10yrs old, and thats coming from a guy thats pretty to the point. but my advice is shop around go to a number of dealers and also try private sales as well as the for sale section on this forum as a number of nice lines are always popping up for sale
  16. hey guys i expect to be pushing around 190rwkw when i install and tune the mods i just bought for my car (boost controller, fmic) or am in the process of buying (apexi safc) already got the full exhaust and air filter. Now i suppose i will have to change my fuel pump as ive heard it dies around that power level on a r33. i was curious as to what pump would do the job should i just get the bosch 044, go a larger in tank replacement pump from GCG??, also i was wondering what those walbro fuel pumps are like?? they are rated at 500hp, so will that do the job for my power level?? Also, i wont need a regulator as well will i as the stock one along with the injectors will still be doing the job well enough right?? any info in helping me get the fuel side of things correct will be appreciated...
  17. well you can get a jap brand cooler from nengun for only a bit more than hybrid ones, and also some hybrid ones are copies and are crappy so watch out for some of em
  18. its a tough choice as i would love to have both as im sure many here would. on one hand is the gtr and now its a GTR and thats all that needs to be said, just make sure its been looked after. Now for the 34 well i jsut love them and with a full kit they look gorgeous as my mate has one all kitted up and is slightly modded and is still very quick although would not be anywhere as quick as the gtr with similar light mods. So in the end i guess its up to what you want out of the car. But as others have said you can always get the 34 and after a while when and if u want to upgrade there are pletny of gtr's that will be waiting... ive probably just confused you even more, but i hope you are happy with wateva car u end up getting
  19. huh?? it interferes with the radio?? maybe its just the whining in the cables of the stereo or whateva that whinning sound is, most people get it when they have put a stereo in their cars if you know what i am referring too. Boy it must be fairly loud to here it over the pod though as pods suck very loudly, i guess if your worried you could get a mecahnic to check over things for you to be on the safe side
  20. i do believe the new evo's are detuned to run better with our fuel or for emissions reasons or both but yes i remember reading that they were detuned when compared to the jap veersion
  21. hmmm, by difficult i hope you mean more difficult on the wallet, as i think it can be done without too much problems providing you modify correctly and not just focus all your attention on getting huge horsepower and neglecting other aspects of the car
  22. yes but the problem is alot of these people often buy the badge as well, so will they up for paying up to 150K for the next NISSAN GTR, well if they want a true road car above the rest by the looks of things i hope they are willing

  25. wish i got 4000 back, only get 300 but i guess thats alright considering i go uni and only work part time so any money is welcomed money for me and it is going to help along with the other money i saved to install all the goodies i bought for the car and give her a good tune, cant wait to see how she goes...
