  1. Yea, figured as much... but it did persist for a good 10-15 minutes, is that normal?
  2. Hi All, Was driving home from uni, (about 70km down the freeway) when at the end, I stopped to get petrol. LEt the car sit there for a minute or two just to cool down... Anyway, after I filled p and took off again, under acceleration the engine fan was making a really loud woosh noise, as if it was set to *try and blow the engine out of the engine bay* setting... A few tests indicated to me that it wasn't effecting performance, and te temp guage was at a bout a third of the way round. So I kept driving... Now it just seems wierd to be that the fan went on super happy hardcore mode right after I stopped after a longish stint at constant revs... Does anyone know why it did that?
  3. I don't even know much about cars and that just sounds dumb... If he can smell fuel, how does he get to the conclusion it is running lean 'tarded.
  4. About that Jordan-Toyota deal, I heard it will go through so long as Jordan sign Ryan Briscoe as as a race driver! So we may have 2 Aussies on the grid next year! What a tough choice... What colours would I wear to Melbourne?! Hehe
  5. Just a query, where did you bring your car from (Just having a dig at the english in the topic line) hehe
  6. 200km to a tank!? Do you boost it everywhere you go or something... I can usually manage 500km from a tank (but i guess that is half freeway half traffic) but still... Yowsers. My car runs really rich at start up, but its not a raw fuel smell so i cant help you.
  7. Sorry about Hijack, but there is no point in doing CAI if I still have stock cooler is there?? On this note, would a new air filter (pod most likely) be of any use without a CAI? Cheers.
  8. Try and get a pic when I get home of the Blitz NUR Spec R... It''s also angled, but its almost a straight pipe design. (For R33 GTSt anyway).
  9. You can see that the front headlight have taken a little from the 5 series... and it looks like it has those 'angel eyes'... I don't mind it, but yea, the back could look way better.
  10. I once heard Martin Brudle say that the pistons in an F1 car about the size of a biscuit! Hence how they get them to rev so hard. Also the reason why they only last 200km maybe 300km these days.
  11. One would hope not considering they are "The modified insurance company"... So as long as you lsit all your mod's and aftermarket parts etc, if they agree to insure you, hopefully you'll get the cash, but i'm interested to hear of anyones problems in regards to this.
  12. Lol, as mentioned, the car has NSW blue plates on it... you would have to be retarded to even consider this purchase
  13. definately a well used 32 that's for sure... and that seat doesn't look the best... you'd have to get a new drivers seat for it anyway. I'll keep my 33 thanks
  14. I think that Ecce front bar would better suit an old civic or CR-X... just a bit too 'square' for a line me thinks. but like i say, each to their own.
  15. yea i paid $1.209 for syndergy 8000... so i only put enough to get me through the weekend... It's bullshit how prices fluctuate throughout the week... I used to wor in a petrol station and I know how it works... It's just a local pricing war with lots of price matching. One place puts their price up, everyone else follows, when it goes down they all follow... I remember when the Litres where greater than the dollars
  16. By lowering compression I assume you mean raising compression ratio??
  17. Nur Spec is a cannon style... but Blitz do make one that is of a more contemporary design. Can't think of the name though. Also, i think Fujitsubo (spelling) make a more conventional cat-back as well.
  18. Hmm wedll I got my Blitz system for $1300 not installed... I like to stick with Japanese quality but that's probably just my insecurities (X-force is Chinese I think??)
  19. Those cars have always looked like Thunderbird cars to me lol... they just don't look real for some reason. Possibly the low angled shot, but I don't know... Old School.
  20. 13_Devil... theres no arguing that atmospheric pressure is 14.7psi ... and as such, half of atmospheric pressure must be 7.35. (1 Bar = atmospheric pressure, 2 Bar = 2 x atmospheric pressure and so on... incase you missed my last post) By the way, don't mean to sound rude, i'm just tired.
  21. As Abo Bob said, 1 bar = atmospheric pressure = 14.7 psi... I just go off 7psi = .5 bar roughly, which = about 3 mmHg (mm of mercury) for those using the stock boost guage
  22. Well it was at TM autosports at Tuggerah which has done dynos of FLYBYE and also that orange autostyle 200ZR (i think it was that one, with 441rwkw). Also, my brothers car ran about the same as me and he has a worked 308...
  23. Hmm it does seem high, but it was in shootout mode, and on a fairly warm day. The reason I don't doubt the integrity is because it was done purely for diagnosis of a problem rather than the installation of any performance bits so theres no reason for them make it read higher. The other thing could be unknown mods to my car, but it looks stock as in the engine bay and interior...
  24. Hey guys, I got my car dynoed on friday and got 176.8kW on a DD in shootout mode. Personally, I think that's pretty good considering my car is dead stock except for exhaust although I know dyno readings can be misleading. Anyway, I just wanted to compare with others out there with a similarly stock car. Cheers.
