  1. wheres a good place in sydney to get a PFC installed and tuned, need it prolly in and out in 1 day
  2. as u can see in the photod the tee-piece is located near the plenum the hose heading left from the T heads the the factory boost gauge controller, because the factory gauge is electrical (guess) hence it reads a vacuum even though the engine is turned off and no vaccum exists the hose heading off to the right goes thru the firewall and on to the boost gauge, u should note that a mechanical boost gauge will read 0 (ie. no pressure difference) when the car is off, and when u turn the car on both gauges should move in sync cheers hope this helps
  3. are these any better then hybrid coolers which r heaps cheaper
  4. just outta curiosity what mods have u performed ???
  5. yeah same questrion, what do front runners do ???
  6. if u don't mind me being a newby, what the hell happened there ???
  7. what sort of power could be expected from - PFC - 3" turbo back exhaust - 12 psi boost ????
  8. well just for shits and giggles this weekend i am going to drive to the centre of parramatta, just driving normal, refill, see how much its costs. then drives home trying to skimp as much as possible and see how much thats costs, and we'll see if we r getting anywhere if u guys can do it on 12.6L i doubt i'll come close, prolly 20L or so
  9. other thing is, i heard there r 2 versions of the PFC, is there any difference, or is one better for a particular feature, or is it all minor trivial stuff ???
  10. thats more the economy i am looking for, 60L tank = 500+ kms around town even more on freeways etc.... just can't afford to spend $50 to go to say homebush and back, thanks for alll the help but
  11. i'ce checked around the fuel lines and petrol cap etc.... for leaks and wet-spots an there doesn't seem to be any sydkid, rightio i see how that doesn't make sense at all, i thougth u could tune engines different ways so they react differently and such use different amounts of fuel.....but ur answer makes much more sense so sounds like PFC is the go, any idea about what sort of economy skylines r capable of when well tuned ???? hoping to get down to 11L/100km when driving careful
  12. cheers for the replys so far guys sydkid, is there any advantage of choosing microtech / autronic / wolf over the PFC, i know the PFC is common as and is easy to find tuners etc... for, but would i be better off spending the money and going for one of the other, seems most people r doing well with the PFC. the main featuyre i am after though is the ability to have 2 SEPERATE tunes on the computer, is there a computer that i can tune for bugger all boost but max. fuel economy, then switch over to lotsa boost and bugger fuel economy (eg, for drag/circuit). just yeah i need the savings on fuel more then i need the power, but i do go to the ocasional drag day and wanna try some circuit stuff. yeah is this possible ???
  13. hi guys i'm looking into purchasing an aftermarket computer in an attempt to improve the fuel efficiency of my car at the moment its a r33 gts-t. all i got is a full turbo back 3" exhaust and a boost controller runing 11-12 psi. being as careful as possible not to use boost my car is going through 16L/100km, when boosting it this figure obviously just gets higher. i've changed the oxy sensor, checked for leaks and all but the car is still using that much fuel its not funny, when i pull up at traffic lights u can begin to smell the petrol vapour from the exhaust, same happens when in the garage or parked etc.... just wondering if there is anything else that might be causing this, or if an aftermarket computer might fix it, i've been looking at wolf and PFC or maybe even autronic (for future plans) just wondering are any of them capable of handling an economy tune and well as a "power" tune. i do a lot of driving for work and uni and really can't afford this sort of economy will a computer fix this ???? cheers
  14. i'll get u boost gauge related pics tommorow morning if i remember, which i will try to do, its eaiser then getting NRMA business insurance, and we all know how easy that is
  15. u can get ur throttle body moved on the stock plenum for $250, woudn't that be easier ???
  16. u wouldn't happen to have a spell-checker would u but in response, if u have a multi-meter, stick the probs onto some of the points on the oxy sensor, when u touch the right 2 (i think there is only 3) u should see the voltage move up and down, give her some revs and she should fluctuate all over the shop, then do a test hookup of the gauge, if its reading right then u've done it. the pipe for the boost/vac is located on the rear of the plenum (the side closest to the firewall) if a tiny little nozzle up in the top corner, just cut that hose, which goes to ur factory gauge and splice in the tee, or if you don't want the factory gauge just stick ur boost gauge holder pipe on instead, this might stuff certain systems up, i dunno, i just spliced it
  17. mates got a gt30 on his and it f#$ken goes, not too laggy for street, but not running outta power up top
  18. Im importing a twin turbo supra from the uk and i need to know what things you need to get it on the road once it's over here. like papers etc. cheers
  19. 12 psi on a standard intercooler runs good, these boost controllers r great the cooler just gets quite hot, never hit boost cut yet, but am probably runnig quite close
  20. u want a super dragger but u don't want it loud, or a cannon ??? i got a HKS hyper exahsut sound s, good, beautiful note, but theres not a huge amount around if u don't want a cannon, but there r some which look simmilar to the factory twin outlet exhaust but obivoulsy free-er flowing
  21. can u mail a photo to [email protected] cheers
  22. got pics of the wing, if so can u pm them
  23. damn true aye, 110 in dads falcon feels about the same as 200 in the skyline, damn cops though
