  1. go for R34 GTR rims - look good, reasonable price, new commodore size tyres so they're cheap, and room for the next brake upgrade.
  2. No the AWD has nothing to do with it. Symptom of wide rubber and suspension geometry, can be exacerbated by using stiff sidewal tyres - I had Michelin Pilots for a while and they were hopeless for tramlining. Yokos hardly cause a problem.
  3. could be a number of things ie worn bushes etc - the rear cradle ones can fail although the car shouldn't behave radically. try checking wheel alignment first and see what you have. GTRs havea tendency to tramline but that's usually felt at the front.
  4. what type of manifold and can we please see a dyno sheet when available?
  5. Used Sard 700cc injectors, cleaned and flow checked, to suit GTR. $650. Located in Canberra. Cheers
  6. bleeding air from the system is extremely important - more so than people generally think. air in the cooling system is a killer and will turn the block into a kettle - particularly when we have lengthy 6 cyl engines and there is a significant temp differential between the front of the block and the rear as the water from the radiator only enters at the front. some aftermarket chevy heads now have cooolant take offs half way down the side of the head for that reason - more even core temp means more consistent combustion and more efficiency. the breather tank is probably a good idea in a high hp engine, one that operates at higher temps for long periods or one that has no bleeder make sure it's at the highest point of the cooling system otherwise it just acts as an extension of the water jacket and, instead of turning steam into condensation will recirc the steam.
  7. speak of the devil...
  8. depends on the power you want. correctly prepped rods will be good for significant power ie from memory around 350 awkw. i'm pretty sure a local GTR was making damn good power on prepped standard rods. however, if your budget can stretch to it then by all means go forged.
  9. are they gtr offset? if so, do you have any idea if they will fit over a Brembo caliper (usually require 17's but some wheels have more clearance than others). i'm in Canberra otherwise i'd ask to come over and trial fit them. regards
  10. I'll take a set of R32 GTR chrome rings thanks, please PM payment details.
  11. I've got a pair that I want to move, not sure if they're the big or small type - they are pretty big though so prob no good to you. What dimensions do you need?
  12. PLEASE PM ME IF YOU HAVE ANY. THANKS
  13. what sort of rear interior bits?
  14. interested in the seats, will sms you or call later
  15. I want to know what was in the sandwiches.
  16. ditto! nicely put. luckily i wasn't 'loaded' with oj like paul when i read it.
  17. I thought they were tyres not fish.
  18. Hi GTR 94, I think the only way you will get the answer that you are rightly seeking is to do a LOT of research. Try speaking to the distributors ie Advan/ARE/JJ to see how they rate their coolers. Be prepared for a bit of frustration though because it's likely they either won't know or the way they measure wil be different. It's a constant source of amazement that aftermarket suppliers can't provide test results etc for a lot of their big ticket items but people keep buying their stuff so what can you expect? For example some time ago there was a thread on dump pipes - $1800 for CES ones and $1500 for Trust - and no one knows, including the suppliers, what their baseline worth is in terms of performance. As itbmills wrote, a call to someone like ARE will probably arm you with a whole lot of knowledge regarding how FMIC are rated etc. and it might be best to call them before you speak to anyone else so they know you've done your homework. Sorry that doesn't answer your question but I think it's the only path likely to yield the info you need. Hope to hear of some good results. Cheers
  19. Hi guys, I'm after: the smooth type plastic facia pieces in the centre of the dashboard - the big one goes around the gauges radio etc and the gearstick boot clips into the other small one. driver's side waist mould- it's the long thin black peice of trim that clips over the top of the outer door skin and has a rubber lip on it that seals between the door and the window. plastic peices that clip into the inner trim surrounding the rear 1/4 window and guide the rear seatbelts (happy to consider broken ones - as they often are due to changing seat belts during compliance - as long as all the peices are there!). parts must be in really good shape. please email me at [email protected] with photos and an asking price - don't want to haggle too much as I need these bits so please be realistic re their value. cheers
  20. I understand that the 33/34 GTR fmic will flow more bit is not more efficient than the 32 unit. I'd like to think the JJ ones are as good as the aftermarket type but I guess until someone does a test it's hard to say.
