hey guys i had my car's timing belt changed and dyno tuned this morning. i have noticed this afternoon that when i accelerate it completely loses power like the fuel has just been shut off and you get whiplash from that alone. any ideas what this could be?

hey guys, i had a recent problem with my car which scared the F**|< outa me where there was a knocking sound in the engine itself. Got it towed to SST automotives where they took a look and the noise then went away, so its nothing serious but i was recommended valvoline 10 W40 oil a few months ago by another group. Some tell me stay well away but others say its fine. What experience have you guys had with it? could it have started the brief knocking sound (maybe a lifter got stuck because of it or something)? and which oil do you recommend?

ok ill give that a try ill change it tomorrow morning and then try that night (12hrs later or so) did the sound go away before you driven it?

im a little worried to let loose with my foot on the gas incase i damage something but i hope thats all it is. cant smell anything, and theres no smoke. wish i had some spare oil and id change it now would you not recommend driving it around the block tonight?

hey guys i have a 33 gtst and i havnt driven it for a few days. i went to start it just then and theres a really loud knocking sound comming out the engine somewhere. it sounds like its top end but i dont know if its a bad thing or maybe if its hydrolic lifters (if they have them) or anything that is gonna cost me $$$. could this be because i havnt driven it in a few days?

last sunday i went on a cruise and noticed that out of zorst's of about 3 of the cars was a small puff of smoke when they taken off from the lights. they all had some modifications but nothing too major (from what i could tell) but im wondering if this is normal? i dont think it was condensation because it just seemed too warm that day.

my car has 2 bov's standard (which is still running) and a hks i get the flutter sound, its quiet loud but now anywhere near as loud as some. will this kill my turbo too?

yeah i was quoted $500 at first, but i got another respray dude to quote me (who's work is good), and he said $1200. he does all the work for extreme machines

i got some hefty keying on my doors and bonnet, i can touch them up for $150 which will only take it off the eye. i was thinking i would do that and place vinals along the sides. any idea what sort of prices i would be looking at and if it looks good on a skyline at all?

we always hear about kw or hp, but which one do we need to chase when talking about acceleration speeds and top speeds? and if anyone knows...why?

SAU has to watch its bak just like any company or it is likely to be sued. im very sure its not their intent to block you out or do you a disfavour in anyway. there are other ways (like the ones already posted) which may be more suitable

i went out and bought it. it has some good bits in it (like those already mentioned) and i learned a fair bit from it, like the way the AWD deminishes the further you turn the wheel. Would have been nice if it had some more 'fun' stuff in it too

yeah id rather it be there just in case... besides people stare at it all the time hehe, especially when im at the lights and people walk past the car if it helps with cameras great!
