  1. FYI This is what the director of Nistune had to say after I emailed him regarding using nistune on an r33 automatic: The only option I’ve found so far is to use the R32 ECU, TCU and an aftermarket VCT controller. This has been done by Steve at Advanced Jap Auto in Vic with indicated the setup works since the r33 TCU cannot be used with R32/Z32 ECUs You would also need to upgrade the MAF to Z32 over 220rwkw We cannot nistune the r33 ECU at this point. Another person is working on a solution but no news since Dec If you wished to do this way then you need to source the R32 ecu and tcu plus Summit racing, buddy club etc RPM trigger switch for VCT and Nistune Type 2 board loaded with rb25 maps
  2. Hi All Looking for the best dealer I can get genuine Nismo 555 injectors from for my R33 Skyline. I'm thinking of getting it from here(seller jdmplanet on eGay): http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISMO-555CC-INJECTOR-SKYLINE-R33-ENR33-ER33-ECR33-RB25-RB25DET-X-1-/221185258946?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337fab35c2&_uhb=1 Total cost = $960 including postage. Any other reputable dealers I could buy from? $960 a good price for Nismos?
  3. Thanks Mr Stabby. I have all the answers I need now Nismo 555's here I come. I'l create another thread for best price/best place to buy 555's. I havnt seen an updated one before and it should help those looking to buy the 555's as they are a popular upgrade.
  4. Dont want to make my engine look more modified then I have to. Keepin the po po's at bay I'm thinking of getting it from here(seller jdmplanet on eGay): http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISMO-555CC-INJECTOR-SKYLINE-R33-ENR33-ER33-ECR33-RB25-RB25DET-X-1-/221185258946?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337fab35c2&_uhb=1 Unless someone can suggest a reputable dealer? Also would I need to purchase a fuel reg? Shooting for 230rwkw
  5. Ok well , it seems like Nismo 555's are the Splitfires of injectors. Best place to get them from at the best price? So far the best I see them for on eGay is $960 including shipping
  6. If Nismos are the go to, then I might just fork our for that. I'm a believer of do it once do it right and am not about to cheap out on something like injectors. Oh well , thought Id find something a bit cheaper that would do the job. Guess not
  7. Can you elaborate more on Sard as I have been thinking about going with them as well.... Whats the Splitfire equivalent for injectors( an item that has been tested continuously my members of this forum with almost all of them agreeing that these are good reputable items) Are they Nismo 550's?
  8. Heard of this , but this one seems to be rand new. I think the remanufactured ones are sold in AUS (i would not buy re manufactured personally) This is exactly what I was looking for. There are common upgrades for the RB ( z32 afm , splifire coils etc) What is the common upgrade for injectors (am I to assume its the 550 Nismos?) Dont really want to go top feed and have to mess around with brackets. Is there anything else with a proven track record that is drop in?
  9. awesome, probably going to go 550's. Any other experiences from JECS from the USA? Also, why dont people do this as a cheaper alternative to $1000 Nismos?( or is this route a common upgrade for injectors )

  11. Hi All I know Nissan cars use these as OEM and they come with flow charts and a 3 year warranty(which is useless for me since its in the US) Has anyone purchased this before? Good or bad idea? Dont really want to fork out $1000 for Nismo's if these do the job. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/270814761682?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  12. Is this true. We used to be looking for ecu's to retain auto shift logic everywhere. Have I been that behind the times or do all the above retain the auto boxes shift logic in an r33?
  13. Are these the options or tuning the auto skyline r33 : Toshi's tune Nistune..need more info about this eManage blue/ultimate Safc and sitc Power Fc Are these users able to retain the shift logic? Toshi is all out of auto ecu's and wont be importing anymore so I dont know if he is an option. He mentioned not being able to do over 200rwkw or so on the eManage. Want to see in excess of 230rwkw (have usual mods - intake/exhaust , injectors , fuel pump - high flow turbo to 18psi , trans cooler , mv valve body upgrade) What ecu can I use that will retain daily drivability but get me to 230rwkw?
  14. Man what happened to all the auto guys? This thread is dead... 15. Did my 100k service about 10k ago. Well the camcover gaskets are leaking pretty bad(as in all RB's) so its kinda obscuring what else could be leaking as well., hence be wanting to know what could be leaking Freshen up will include, walbro gs342, new breather hoses, transmission cooler and fixing up of all oil leaks (4th March) and obviously usual 5000km service(oil and filter change) Will be installing new radiator, stage 2 shift kit, new radiator hoses, highflow turbo and 550's on my trip after that and then ready to tune (5th May)
  16. Hi Guys So I'm taking my car to my mechanic for a freshen up and to ready the engine for some proper boost (skyline r33 RB25DET) I want to sort out all oil leak issues - will obviously be doing the rocker cover gaskets, half moons etc... What else should I replace while there? Anyone know what other common leaks the RB25DET has?
  17. No, around where I am from (The Shire - south sydney) r34's and skylines in general aren't common. There used to be a time about 5-7 years ago that every man and his dog had an r33 gtst with chrome vaults and neons and seeing them became truly sickening. Luckily this has died down and they aren't nearly as common anymore. Still you are more likely to see an r33 in Sydney then an r34. You are more likely to see 350GT's in Sydney than R34's.
  18. This is true. I am also a necksnapper for any GTR. However the only people that look at non turbo skylines are those that dont really know about cars. They are as average as any other car unless done up. And i wouldn't recommend doing up a non turbo skyline.
  19. how much is it? how do you use it? do you need anything else beside laptop and cable? what software is used?
  20. Ok , im getting really worried now Its gotten very bad , if the car sits for two days , it struggles to starts and and im hearing popping and banging sounds from the engine until it starts up. Once it starts up it revs and drives fine. Im worried that the this constant issues when strartig up is wearing away at the internals. Do I have any reason to worry. Booked it in with Paden for the 4th of March but scared something will happen between now and then. Cleaned AAC valve Cleaned cold start Check for vacuum leaks Cleaned throttle body Splitfires installed Any ideas on what I can do except make sure I start it every 14hrs or so to prevent it from getting to cold?
