  1. Neos have sold lifters correct. He was referring to the bottom end being forged.
  2. Neos have forged pistons from factory. + I'm about to build a 30 bottom end For it fully forged. The thing that through me was he said the early 25s r33 can take 32psi. So why would the neo be limited to 22psi being a better head ?
  3. Hi all. Just wanted to know what is the most boost people are running on a std neo head. I have s1 pon cams fitted and has been ported. I have been told by a tuner that the most boost I can run is 22 psi. Because i only have Std valve springs And valves.
  4. Only use the photo to describe what I want to do. That is how I want to setup my pumps.
  5. Is there any disadvantages of running 2 044 pumps inline as in the photo
  6. Have been speaking with Matt today. Looks like I will be staying with the Nistune set up. Unless I have problems. Thanks for the input guy's.
  7. Well been a while since I've done anything else. Its going to be a long build. Pick up arp head studs tomorrow. I have a new inlet and exhaust gasket now waiting. Machine shop is making slow process but not worried as I told them I don't want it back until about May June. Have been told that the Nistune won't be able to handle the setup as will have to much air flow for the airflow meter. Will have problems with it stalling. Waiting for Matt from Nistune to get back to me. Worst case I'm up for a new ecu. Any suggestions?
  8. R34 de head cast number is 5l7 and 34 det head is 5l8 for the neo's.r33 det head is 75t and the dett is 05u for 32 33 34 and the de head is same for 32 and 33's 08u
  9. I have been looking at the oil restrictor threads on here and from what I can make out I need to block off the rear feed in the block and put a 1.5mm in the front one. Car is mainly for street use with the odd track day. Or would I be better off with 2x 1mm feeds or 2 x 1.25mm?
  10. Just been looking at arp studs for the build. I assume that I need rb25 studs to fit the head. Are neo studs longer than std 25's.
  11. Dropped off the bottom end today to the machine shop. Getting hot tank acid wash bored honed tunnel squared to deck crank nitrated oil galleries cleaned grub screws fitted to crank. Crank modified for 25 oil pump ballanced and a few other things done.
  12. Tracked down a .7mm hg so now all I need to do is shave the head to have 47 to 48cc chambers and im back up to around the 9 to 1 comp.
  13. Huzqld you're comp ratio will be a high 9.6 to 1. Mine with a .51 hg and 50cc head wwill be 8.96 to 1.
  14. Hi comp 8? Engine builder told me with -10.4cc pistons zero deck height and 1 mm hg and std neo head. Comp would be 8.44 to 1. So if you are running +9cc pistons and head shaved down you would have more like 9 to 1
  15. I can machine the pistons down 40th and take 40th off the head. 8.44 to 1 was working on 1mm hg. By doing pistons and head machine work will bump it up around 9 to 1. Have looked at the 30 hybrid pages and read verrious builds but not close to what I'm building. Haven't seen any other builds with neo head and gtx35
  16. If anyone has any advice for mods to the head or engine as a whole I'm all ears.
  17. Besides this engine is going into a lc torana witch is around 400+kgs lighter than a r34 skyline. Neos run 9 to 1 comp but are 2.5lt engine. This is a 3lt engine. Off boost shouldn't be too bad as the 30det's only run a mid 7 to 1 comp. Off boost in a vl they are fine.
  18. Looks like boost up as I have them already. For 700 delivered not going to complain. Will deck the head and use as thin as possible gasket. Head is fitted with cams 256deg and 9.15mm lift. E85 is available easy access. Will be balanced annd haven't set a rev limit yet
  19. I have thought of that but not keen on the idea. Don't get me wrong each to their own. But the whole idea of gas flow is not to create turbulence. Regardless of how it's done it will cause some sort of turbulence. Besides I don't think I will have the room under the bonnet.
  20. Really. Well I could always shave the head and run a smaller head gasket thickness if available.
  21. Hi all. First off I'm no expert in skyline engines. Now thats out of the way. Block I'm using is a s2 block. Std crank spool h beam rods and arias -10.4cc forged pistons. Block will get the usual jobss done acid wash hot tank and bored 40th to 87mm. Will be decked to zero deck height. Will use a 1 mm head gasket and neo head. Head is currently in the car on 25 neo engine. Head has been ported with stage 1 pon cams. Flywheel is from extreme billet lighten flywheel. 6 puck sprung button clutch. Inlet will be a greedy copy manifold with 1000cc bosch injectors. Hot side is custom made hi mount manifold by myself in t3 form to a gtx3582r garrett ball bearing item. Fuel will flow via 2 bosch 044 pumps. Will start with bp98 fuel then change over to e85 later on. Nistune will control all the electronics. Spit fire coil packs will fire the good stuff. If anyone has same sort of set up would appreciate input as to what power I should be able to expect.
