  1. did some serching on the net and from what i have found, CP pistons and just about any h beam rod with good rod bolts and some quality berring will do the job just fine. So what would be an ideal C/R 8-5-1, 9-1 ???
  2. Well i'm still waiting to get some feed back on what pistons and rods to run. want to build an engine that will make 500@ wheels.
  3. Turbo is hi flowed by hyper gear and has been fitted with steel wheel to run hi boost. Car is going in next week if rain buggers off to get re-tuned.
  4. Hi all just wanted to know what rods and pistons everyone is using and what power level they are making to decide what to use for my own set up. Will be using a 25 neo head that has been ported and currently makes 381 hp on a rb25 neo engine with 14psi of boost from the std factory turbo and factory inlet. When i build the new engine it will run a custom hi-mount exhaust manifold and Greedy inlet manifold on 18psi boost. Thanks Dave
  5. Had the Torana retuned on the 25/10 by EFI at Southport on the Gold Coast. Eng RB 25 NEO std bottom end Head ported stage 1 pom tom cams lighterned flywheel and 6 puck sprung button clutch. Manifolds Std Manifolds Turbo op6 rear housing Hi flowed steel wheel fitted Injectors Bosh 550cc Coil packs Spit fires Exhaust 3" turbo back 100 cell cat straight thorough muf Nistune chip Fuel BP98 with C5 fuel additive mixed at 1 can of c5 to 30t of bp98. Boost spike to 18 psi to get out of the hole drops back to 14 psi for top end (actuator not holding needs upgrade) Made 285KW@W or 381HP@W depending witch way you want to look at it. So to have the same power to weight ratio you have to make around 480+ hp@w in a skyline. 2.88hp to every kg the car weight. Is lots of fun to drive and can make 100ks in just over 3 seconds. 60-170 and back to 0 in 250m.
  6. Hey I had you guys do the hiflo on my neo turbo. I'm now after a 1 bar / 15 psi actuator for it so I can set the boost at 18 psi.. Thanks
  7. well in that case I was a very good question then hey?
  8. Just want to know what plugs everyone is running and what seems to be the best for 18-20psi on BP98?
  9. just wanted to be sure thats all. Don't want to have to pull it apart again in the car as it is easer to remove the whole eng and box to work on it as it's in a lc torana.
  10. I have a rb25 neo and was wondering at psi i should be looking at running arp head studs as i'am about to wind up the boost to 16-18psi to pump out 280-290kw@wheels. currently have 256 @wheels on 12psi
  11. I have 256@wheels with very little done. Head ported stage 1 pomi tom cams 550cc injectors std manifolds neo op6 turbo with hypergear hiflow .63 rear now 3" turbo back 100 cel cat straight through muf and a 600 x 300 x 76 front mount. had chip fitted by EFI at Yatla on Brisbane south side running 12 psi boost and will be going back to get it reset for 16-18psi and hopeing to push up to 280-290kw@ wheels.
  12. Wanted 1998-2002 rb25 NEO r34 GTT lower timing cover case. Need one to set timeing correctly. Pm me on here or send email to [email protected] Thanks Dave
  13. Ok just had my rb25 neo from a r34 gtt tuned by efi in brisbane. Mods std unopen rb25 neo stage 1 pom tom cams spitfire coil packs 550cc bosh injectors hypergear hi-flow std op6 turbo .63 rear now. head ported std inlet manifold std exhast manifold 3" exhaust from turbo back (by myself). 100 cel cat & straight through muf, aeroflow 650hp fuel pump running 98 ron On 12psi max made 256.1 kw @ the rears wheels @6500rpm Will get more but unable to set the timeing correctly as i don't have a lower timeing cover fitted as there wasn't one on the engine when i got it. Once i get the cover will be able to wind up the boost to 16-18psi.' Will upload dyno sheet on Monday or Tuesday.
  14. As the clutch plate wears out on a pull type clutch. The are arm would move rearward towards the slave cylinder wouldn't it???
  15. No m8 you have it wrong. car is not moveing foward at all and i was saying that the slave cyl rod can be pushed in 20mm when not in use and the peddle is hard at the top of the stroke for only 20mm of travel and clutch is fully ingaged. will be adjusting the rod on the master cyl so it is a little further down on the peddle stroke so i know it is not putting presure on the clutch.
  16. I have noticed that the peddle comes up more after i have been driveing for a bit and the clutch warms up. I should say too that it is fitted with a extreme extra heavy duty button clutch and presure plate and 10lbs chrome molly flywheel. I will be changing the length of the push rodd to the master cylinder as the one on the slave is fixed length. Also i have noticed that the stroke length of the peddle is only about 20mm i put this down to the face that it is adjusted incorrectly.
  17. Ok i have a question. n my rb25 neo the slave cyl on the side of the box i can push the push rod back into the slave cyl about 20mm. Why is this and would it cause a clutch to fail. f there is anything wrong with it how can i over come this problem. I'm thinking of adding a return spring to push it back in more when i'm off the clutch peddle.
