  1. A couple of bits n pieces. Also have engine bits crossover pipe, stock inlet manifold etc...
  2. Also best part is that you can get to plug #5 & #6 woop woop
  3. Well there you go. LS coils wired and mounted. Now just gotta order some universal MSD leads and make all that
  4. Mainly wiring this weekend but did manage to get the new T3 flange welded onto the manifold. Also because im running LS2 coils i made some coil mounts that bolt upto the tocker covers. As for the wiring made a mount for the isolator. So now the starting box is pretty much complete. Has all headlights, indicators and wipers under the iso switch. How do you bend up sheet metal when your too slack to go into work? Clamp 5mm plate to your bench and bend away! Haha worked reasonably well. So currently wiring up the coils with power, earth and switching wires etc..
  5. Got slightly side tracked today.... My tig just gets picked up an moved around the shed an its a pain in the ass with the bottle etc... coming home last night an someone has brought a trolley up my street lol... yepp that will do. now have a nice little tig trolley
  6. Also i have had a couple of people message me telling me that my oil cooler mount is all wrong and that you should have both the inlet and outlet up top. This is is a common miss-conception caused by the fact that most people mount theres this way. If you think about how a radiator is mounted you have your inlet at the top and your outlet at the bottom as the coolest oil will be at the bottom. So if you have your outlet at the top your still pushing hot oil back into the motor. Just found this The reason you dont want the inlet and outlet at the bottom is because you will almost definatley just fill the cooler with air and then have the possibility of getting air into the system.
  7. Cheers guys, hopefully get some done on it this weekend. Already cut off the T2 flange and have mocked up the T3 flange so will tig that back on sunday and then can start doing oil and water lines. Hopefully inlet manifold will be here soooooooooon so i can start doing injector wiring. Hopefully have some more pics sunday arvo guys
  8. Cheers buddy. Hopefully people can look at the build an get some motivation. Will be awesome to see more grip builds happening haha.
  9. Well trying to make some headway with this wiring. My plan is just to build the engine loom for now. I dont want to turn this into a bigger project than it already is. The provisions are there for a full engine and body loom but thats down the track. Thats obviously the haltech mounted with fuse box and relays mounted and all getting wired up. Cant do much on the engine loom untill Intake manifold rocks up to run cables for injectors and CAS etc.. Gotta admit i do have a pretty amazing Fiance. Its too hard to wire everything up in the shed so she lets me setup in the lounge room to do all my soldering etc.. My amazing fiance and the helper
  10. Hey Guys, Currently going through my build and I'm going to be making a Oil Tank soon. Plan Is to be about 500mm Tall and about 220mm in Diameter. so it would be a 10L tank and that means that i will be able to run approx 7L in the tank. My main question is Tank Location, Does the tank have to be above the pump pressure side inlet so that it will gravity feed or will it be okay to run it level? My plan is to run in behing the 'B' Pillar of the roll cage. After doing some corner weighting with me in the car i need to add some more weight to the back LHS. But i dont want to be having to run a oil hose upto the tank if it has to be half way up the rollcage. Cheers for your help guys
  11. Hey dude have pretty much a whole interior out my GTT inbox me im in Adelaide but willing to post
  12. Well have fitted the oil spiggot and works a treat Also if you remember i made a cardboard template of what i wanted for the coolant and power steering tank. Well its now home for test firting Once im happy i will cap them. The front is obviously coolant and has the sight glass and the back is power steering so that will just have a screw on lid with a pin in the middle that will have a line on it lol. Also awhile ago had issues with overheating so sourced a ISC alloy rad and made an alloy thermofan holder Havent had a chance to test it on the track but just warming it up and driving on the street as soon as i hit the switch it dropped 30* easily so should be alright Funny to look at the fact that 6 months ago i had this... Also it makes you appreciate what you have i used to be working in a gravel carport awhile ago and now i have progressed upto a nice single garage Tight ass form of racking and my whiteboard with list of what needs to be done etc.... And the engine bay as it sits currently Sorry for the long ass post just had 10 mins to chillout today hahaha
  13. Cheers buddy well looks like i will keep posting. Yeah i cant wait to see it on the track either haha.
  14. Cheers buddy, yeah could buy something like that but just money and a possibility it might not fit etc.. this way it cost me nothing except half hour and some scrap bar i had at work lol. Yeah i definatley couldnt've done half this car without working in the industry lol.
  15. Just made a spigot for the oil relocation setup so now i can get rid of the oil/water exchange So the smaller thread is the same as in the block so can thread that into the block and the outer thread is standard oil filter thread so the block can attach to that! should i keep going with this? Are people actually looking at it lol?
  16. Gotta love gumtree at times. Manifold arrived... T2 flange not a T3... yay So ordered a t3 flange and hopefully have that for this weekend so i can cut this one off and weld the t3 on. Also new turbo housing us here too And just stock piling some bits as they pop up at the right price. Brand new never used hans device Also a Velo Apex and 6pt harness Getting there slowly. Not sure if its worth leaving this thread here or if i can move it to the motorsport build section?
  17. So doing abit more reading about the stock and nitto oil pump and the razor dry sump pump Stock pump flow rates RPM vs L/MIN 750/4.6 2200/15.3 7000/46.5 Nitto High flow rates RPM vs L/MIN 750/6.5 2200/20.2 7000/64.8 Obviously all this is actual crank RPM with the RaZor pump its rated at the Pump RPM once again RPM vs L/MIN 500/6 2000/23 4000/45 So its looking like if going to have an rev cut at 8k so we will endup running a 2:1 ratio drive and we will endup running very similar to stock oil flow rates at a regulated 60 PSI so currently looking at getting a Ross Tuffbond balancer for an RB30 with a trigger on it so i can do away with the CAS so hopefully have abit simpler timing on it and then we can have the gilmer drive on the front of the balancer. Also looking at going for a PS pump on the back of the oil pump but see what happens and what funds allow
  18. Cheers buddy. Yeah its at abit of a standstill currently just putting 150% into my daily job as were currently trying to build it up abit and that in turn hopefully means more $$$ for the car. But the new manifold is on its way And the new dry sump pump arrived today Yeah the NEO head has alot smaller CC head so i reckon the comp ratio is abit higher. I have done some reading on it but it all seems to be speculation as to what the comp ratio is going to be. The plan was to go E85 anyway but also been speaking to the guy who is doing the head work and he has looked at a neo head and he thinks that he can lift the CC of the head abit but other than that it might endup with abit thicker cometic HG but would rather avoid that if possible.
  19. Nah not yet sorry mate. Will be once we take a mould of it tho if your interested?
  20. Thats interesting. We are running very different setups and im having the opposite issue im chasing understeer into corner. Definatley keen to catchup and have a look over the car sometime buddy
  21. The dump and down pipe are sold. So would be cat to tip if your interested. And say 250 its yours the cat is like new and that was 150 alone. Shoot me a pm and can talk about shipping
  22. Hey buddy nah dont have the steering wheel but i have the steering wheel HICAS ring and airbag etc... Centre console and dash are in good condition no cracks or scratches etc.. and Yeah seats are out a GTT so will be direct bolt in. But they could use abit of a clean just some carpet cleaner will bring them up just been sitting in the shed getting dusty
