Hey guys, wasnt too sure where to post this but just wondering how many people on here are using there haltech for Data logging and if i could pick your brains about it breifly. Im trying to decide what path to go down in regards to dash and i keep looking at the IQ3 Logger dash but at 2K for the dash i keep asking myself why i couldnt just buy a windows based tablet and load the ECU manager software on that and then use its memory for the logging and setup a home screen for lights/gauges but has anyone else done this? Cheers

Trying to decide between this or Island Magic but i have a feeling i may do this. Better seat time to $$$ i reckon. Will there be different classes for people learning the track?

Yeah well thats the thing for my application MCA is reccomending a 16kg front and 6kg rear but i will have aero and it is purely track but from what i have seen he runs stock bars.

Im in pretty much the same boat haha. Street trim to caged with slicks, haltech etc... just doing aero on my car and being able to drop it a heap would be awesome but going to go get some MCA reds first i think. Should look at Masters of mallala and come out in the Sport sedan group

I personally only know of about 10 in Australia.... I got a whole heap of backlash from purists for cutting it up so much and modifying to this extent it wasn't funny. But when I bought it it was a basket case so ehh I'm not fussed I love it low looks pimp!

Plan for it is to be my tow rig for the R34. The bags are rated for it and eventually it will have the 3.5L m30 in it.. just time and money as usual

That's what I would look at. With your vent being right next to your vacuum source it may just be coming into the canand shooting straight across to the intake hose and back into the inlet manifold. You really want to be drawing through the scourers not across the top of them imo

Potentially the v-spec may have also had different rear diffuser and wing combo than normal GTR?

Funny you mention heating up fuel, im running 98 in my R34 and we were doing a bunch of runs setting up the Haltech and we were getting fuelling issues towards the end of the day, we werent losing pressure etc it actually turned out that the surge tank mounted in the boot would have been nearly 50* i reckon it was HOT! So i ended up getting a P/S cooler and hooking that in the return line from the rail to the surge and that made a huge difference on the dyno so i can only imagine with race pace having the extra air over the cooler how much better it would be?
