  1. Hey guys, Appart from owning a R34 i also have a BMW E34. Highly modified and going through regency currently etc but what i am doing is converting the front hubs to 5x114. What im needing to know is can anyone actually tell me the bolting diameter of the 5x114 pcd so i can spin up my hub on the lathe lay down a grove so from there i can measure out where my holes have to go. So then i can drill and tap the hub. Thanks guys
  2. this is what i did in my R34 my battery was in the engine bay and all i did was run 0ga upto the original battery location and then connected all the wires that went onto the battery post to the fusable link end and i also have another fuse at the battery end about 100mm from the battery. so at the battery i have a 200A fuse and in the engine bay i have a 150A so that if the engine or accessories blow the fuse it will kill the 150A fuse but if the main 0ga wire shorts out somewhere along the body theres a 200A that it will kill

Thanks dude yeah seen heaps of ppl go to the track with 300+ kw an no idea how to steer and it just goes to smoke an crap times with the fmic and 12psi of boost it made 200rwkw so that should be enough just to learn to handle the car with. Yeah that front bar was terrible but the dude who i bought it off was into the autosalon style he has some other thing thats fullon autosalon still lol. Yeah thats the one issue now im going to have to try and overcome lol. Probably make up a front splitter to try disguise it. Once its all done im going to powdercoat it black as we do powdercoating at work. Cheers for the imput dude
  4. Hey mate idk if you have posted it up but on my phone theres like 200 pages to read through. What wheel alignment are you running and what have you done coilover and swaybar wise? im getting mine ready fof my first track day in march and i have my setup as 11deg castor, 2.5 deg front camber and 1.5 deg rear camber but im wanting to upgrade swaybars
  5. You say will fit R34 GTT but i was reading that the weight difference between front weight of GTT and GTR means there valved different? Whats your thoughts im going to be running them on my GTT and mainly track work
  6. Well today was productive i painted my new front bar tye other day and fitted it today. Its gloss black and not the deep purple it used to be but looks pretty good IMO This is what it was... Looked like something from autosalon 2000
  7. well ive been rather productive recently managed to get abit more work done under the hood so now all the oil filter and relocation setup is completed and i have some pics. Firstly is a plate that i made that sits where the battery is that holds my universal washer bottle, oil catch can(Still to be plumbed) as well as the oil filter Then it in place and mostly fitted just waiting on fittings for the oil catch can they are in the post tho. and the oil cooler all mounted up infront of the AC Condenser and behind the cooler i finally had to take the bumper off as im painting up an original front bar so i was able to get some pics of the turn flow system i made. its not AMAZING but i made it all myself so im pretty happy and inside the engine bay and just one of my driveway. gotta have my other toy so i can listen to music haha

  9. Will try get some pictures my phone camera is stuffed so have to take them on my missus phone then send them over. Anyway I have gotten the suspension to a point where my pocket can handle it and i have done as much as i want to do before i really start pushing it on the track. So i dont want to change too much suspension wise and lose my bearings so down the track im going to go Tein Mono flex coilovers and some Whiteline 27mm front and 24mm rear swaybars. But now i have started working on engine reliability and some performance. When i got the car it had the usual FMIC with pipework over the radiator and it meant i was getting ALOT of heatsoak into the "cool" air charge. So i fabbed up a turn flow system that now runs below the intercooler and then comes back into the engine bay in the stock location so it looks relatively standard but now means theres no more heat soak. I also picked up a Blitz split dump pipe thats plumbed back and a Blitz 3" down pipe so fitted both of them got myself a 3" 100 cell cat and that connects up to the existing 3" Blitz system that was on the car so thats completed In my opinion. Last on the list mainly for reliability was oil cooler just for some more Oil volume for while im on the track so got a Aeroflow cooler and all braided line and also did a Filter relocation into where the battery was as the battery is now in the boot. Will hopefully get some pics soon its mega ugly as it sits as it has a full body kit on it but i have a new front bar that im painting this week to go on

So front end is all done and got a buddy to wheel align it so now were just running a semi street setup so have 1.5deg rear camber and 2deg on the front and managed to get about 11deg of castor on the front so thats really turning in and braking nicely. As for toe i think we just had about 1mm toe on front and back but i cant remember 100% so in february im going to knock some more camber into the front and dial abit of the toe out. I also had my HEL braided brake lines arrive awhile ago and was waiting for Bendix SRT pads and some DBA rotors but they arrive a week or so ago so managed to fit them while it was up on his hoist and bleeded the system. Also fabbed up a master cylinder stopper. So now the brakes are finnished in my opinion just going to keep going with suspension.
  11. So has this list been re edited? Just looking at getting some tein coilovers for my R34 GTT but they dont offer the ones i want but they do in other skyline models. Sorry to revive an old thread or if theres a newer one please point me to it
  12. Hey guys, Please bear with me as this is my first ever build thread and I haven't ever owned a Skyline before. I have had a BNR34 as my phone screen for years and it will eventually be in my posession. Anyway onto the build! I bought the car and it has 170k on it And had been rather neglected over the past couple of years. So first this was removing the horrible body kit it has on it. Most is removed and im going to be going back to a stock bodykit. Then after thinking for a while i decided that i was going to chase grip before i go to bump the power up. So i ordered a full set of front and rear lower control arms, front castor rods and rear toe arms and fitted it all up.

SUBD I started an E30 RB build ages ago but ended up getting stiffed on motor and gearbox paid good money for a good running engine and gearbox and turned out 1 piston had a hole in it and gearbox had 2 gears missing and just a heap of other stuff went wrong so unfortunatley abandoned it. ill see if i can find my old thread buddy might be able to see some of my mistakes lol

No for the exemption your not allowed to have performance mods and if you do you have to tell them. so i told them it has a turbo back exhaust upgrade and a FMIC setup and they have said that that is fine. there not fussed about any suspension modifications for the permit so none of that matters. thats why im currently collecting everything to get the 300kw but waiting till i get my full licence to install it all as i said in the first post..... Also i got the 660's because i paid $50 for them won them in an auction on ebay will receipt for the service on them and spray pattern and flow test sheet so for $50 i figure if they are 80% or above im going to get some ID1000's but im not too fussed if some ID's come up ill buy them but i have another 6 months till i get my full licence
  18. Basically you have to apply to Motor reg here in SA and tell them your situation and they will determine if you have legitimate reason to need to drive the car or if you dont. Mine is the fact that my other daily my wagon is defected and its the only other car i own so they gave me the exemption but i have had a couple of mates denied an exemption before

Hey guys, Been stalking the forum for years im normally a euro guy had several BMW's over the years and still got a BMW wagon currently getting engineered etc but i have also picked up myself a R34 GTT. Plans for the R34 are a street/track combo but abit more track based so road comfort and drivability arent too much of an issue should also note going for grip combo not sliding..... did drift im no good at it im gonna stick to grip work lol Im currently on my P's in SA and have been given excemption to drive turbo to and from work etc so my missus is going to be driving it to the track or throwing it on a mates car trailer. But im currently collecting everything to do some performance upgrades and hopefully reach a comfy 300rwkw, i have so far collected TOG exhaust manifold, TD06 20G 8cm internally gated Kinugawa, 660cc injectors, PFC + Controller, FMIC(Fitted), Z32, Walbro 255, Split dump(Fitted), Down pipe(fitted), 3" 100 cell cat(fitted) so its pretty close to all being there ready to go just waiting till full licence to fit it all. So currently im working on improving the grip of it. I have fitted adjustable Lower front and rear arms, front radius arms/castor arms, rear toe rods and there all rose jointed. Ive fitted some bendix SRT Pads and HEL braided brake lines and a brake master cylinder stopper and im running Kumoh KU36 semis. im going for whiteline 27mm front sway and whiteline 24mm swaybars there currently on order it already has some HKS coilovers in it and a good diff but oneday might go a KAZZ 1.5way. currently im looking into different bracing i can do to the shell so front and rear strut braces under body braces etc so anyone with some knowledge give it to me! Also anything else you can reccomend to fit would be amazing! also looking into rough wheel alignment specs atm im at 7deg castor 2deg front camber 0.5deg rear camber
