  1. Hey guys l'm looking for a shed to rent so l can work on and store my car in. Around walkerston area would be sweet but will look at all options. Cheers
  2. just buy their 1700hp rb32 they have for sale, i dunno what gearbox you could use behind it for AWD but?
  3. roots blower, motec-twin exhaust and then double clutch it to a 10 sec pass
  4. You can try a brace but i reckon its just the cheap, thin stainless they use that can't handle the repeated heat cycles.
  5. 4043- 5% sil. filler prolly isn't the best choice on 5xxx series ally. 5356 - 5% mag. is to suit. What size/type tungsten are you runnin? too many amps through a small diameter tungsten will melt it.
  6. That looks like its one piece of sheet to me and you did a bead weld on it? Whats your welder and set up? ie tungsten, amps, AC balance and filler wire?
  7. They work, still need to be careful. I seen blades shatter because people weren't paying attention. Make sure its clamped tight (As can be, can't clamp thin ally too tight) and use some WD40 on the blade as a lubricant. Aluminium gums up blades, and they don't cut.
  8. I'd just use a grinder with 1mm wheels, either the specific aluminium ones or just general purpose ones with the wax. A cold saw will need to be spinning pretty damn fast or it will grab and bend your piece if it's thin. Make up a template or guide so you don't have to mark each one.
  9. Haha, fark it, it's money in their pockets
  10. Wouldn't they have different compression heights due to the slight difference in stroke?
  11. Wiseco http://www.wiseco.com/Catalogs/SportCompact/Nissan.pdf
  12. Rockhampton 316 Lower Dawson Road QLD 4700 Phone: (07) 4927 2220 Give them a call maybe, just to confirm. I didn't see a price per Litre. Whats the going price?
  13. Drove through Rocky the other day and seen the United servo on the south side, just as your coming into rocky, were selling E85. They had big signs up.
  14. if we are talking nitrous, then l reckon 6mm will split if it has a backfire.
  15. How much boost do you plan on running? 6mm seems over kill. You running a 6mm thick intercooler as well? and 'cooler piping?
  16. no skylines out the track tonight.
  17. when you get your 1.6 mm collet use that with some 0.9 mm filler wire should be alright, same amps 30-40A. wont need to purge inside, unless your doing a weld test that has to pass x-ray. always add filler, not too much but enough so it keeps the finished weld above the material your welding. Thats called reinforcement. critical for a long lasting crack free weld.
  18. they'd be putting mark up on all the parts. Thats what you do when you own a business. If you did some shopping around yourself for parts, you could save some cash, but then some workshops might not like that.
  19. What size tungsten are you using? 1.6mm? What type of tungsten are you using? Thoriated( Red ) or lanthanated ( Gold )? 0.9mm filler wire? What size shroud? Your amps should be fine, it comes down to speed and gas coverage.
  20. My bad. Just realised l worked that out as a 88mm bore. not 87mm. sorry
  21. Was gunna say, if it's 40thou over (3.46 bore x 3.70 stroke) = 208.74 ci which = 3,421.17 cc or 3.4 Lt What power level are you chasing? I've read the standard caps and girdle are good for 1000 hp. I'm getting a rb34 short block from spool with the standard girdle. I'm chasing 800 ish
  22. nitto rods aren't much dearer. $650 for nitto h beams from hi octane. $620 for spool h beams. Do the standard 26 rods need prepping at all? Resizing if using arp bolts? How much would this cost to be done, plus the cost to buy the 26 rods? Could work out around the same in the end.
