urghhh... i need help

Dude, you can get cheaper, but the condition / kms get worse. It depends on WHAT you want. A nice clean [undamaged] low km vehicle with 5spd and turbo will be at least $33k. I am sure you can knock some off that price too [$36.5], you should be able to get it for under or around 35k I think.

Here is an example of a slightly damaged / cheaper 34, 5spd turbo: Prestige Motorsport

Bear in mind this car is still in Japan and price does [obviously] not include tyres and on-roads. But it is a nice price!

Ps make sure you check the condition notes...

If you want PM me with your number and i will call you tomorrow [friday]. Also let me know where your travelling from!

*EDIT* I dont think i will go, the guy hasnt got the parts out of quarantine yet - bloody crap! I would be just going for the hell of it and dont really have the fuel atm...

sorry nismor34... didn't get your post...

went with pushead and i put a deposit on it already.

Q: they have 17inch buddy club P1 wheels...don't know if it's x 7, 8 or 9 inch. I know the back is wider. At the moment it has 225/45 tyres and they don't really fill out the rims.

Front is ok, but back need wider tyres. What's a good size as i don't wanna go too wide, or it will look like 4wd wheels or a fat chick trying to fit into Satch jeans.

cheers

No worries Creation, thats cool. Good to hear you are buying the beast!

Check this site for a Tyre Guide This should help you choose a tyre that is roughly the same circumference as the stock setup [225 / 45 ~ 17 x 7.5]

You dont want to just put ANY size tyre on, or you will stuff up your tacho / speedo / odometer / etc!

My car currently has:

Front: 17 x 8, 235 / 45

Rear: 17 x 9, 255 / 40

Hope this helps :)

thanks... done some research.. i think front 17x8 rear 17x9 (guessing)... which would be the same as the Evolution R 200sx. He has front 215/45 rear 235/45. I might go the same or 10mm wider front and rear. The profile will be 45 as thisi s what it is on the stock r34 alloys.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
