Hi all,

I'm decided to install the GT30 714569-0002 (700177-0018) on my RB25DET SII & the details Turbine side AR.82/60mm & for Compressor side AR.70/76mm.

Any advice on this this turbo. My engine still stock condition.

this is the Garrett GT30 that runs the 52T T04S compressor wheel and no the genuine GT comp wheel.

it will perform ok, but not as efficient as the proper GT30R.

Paul,

other support mod will be highmount manifold with tial 38mm, 75mm throttlebody from alfa, exhaust system 3" & HKS podfilter.

Future the engine management will be microtec lt12s.

you should look into the following:

a good cold air intake

ecu that supports afm with 02 feedback

larger fuel pump

larger injectors

nismo fuel pressure regulator

what tyres?

what clutch?

3.5" split dump at a minimum

what power to you plan to make?

read the thread the mafia has done as it should cover most of the questions you will have regarding it. it certainly wont be cheap and it will be laggy

As it stands now, you will have a lag monster of a turbo with no top end power. Basically any turbo upgrade requires a fuel upgrade (ecu and fpr at least) so not only will your car run like crap, but you'll also have less power than stock because your computer won't be able to run the turbo.

You're far better off waiting until you have the money for an ECU and tune ($1.5-2k) before you bolt that turbo on.

    • i looked at a HKS Exhaust for my 400R and the pricing was out of this world like to get it posted from the US is crazy. it was more then $2000 postage and i understand its a heavy item but thats just a cat back like $5000 for a cat back exhaust to my door imo is crazy. There was a  performance shop offering me a similar exhaust for $8k sure they just got it posted to and trying to make some extra cash though they said labor costs of installing but yer cat back and im paying $3k labor yerr nah. I remember i got a custom exhaust made for my TX3 back in the day from Hitech Mufflers on Parramatta Rd just wondering if i could get one these days for under $5k for my VR37?
