Hi-lo Filter Vs K&n Air Filter

Is it true that with a hi-lo filter , the turbo "psssh" sound is softer compared to when you have a K&N filter on?

Because I have test-driven 2 skylines and the turbo pssh sound was much louder on one compared to the other. What other factors may have made the difference?

Cheers

Really an amateur at this... Well its the psssh sound u hear when u change the gear.

Hi-Flo Air filter Box

That would be the BOV.

With a high flow fliter in the stock airbox, you should be able to hear it.

the only way to make it quiet again is to put the stock panel filter back in
