I had the car scutineered last night. Steve told me its a full field of 45 starters now so thats good news. Some quick cars on the final list too including GTR's and STi's.

A last minute entry in Chris Long caught my eye. I'm sure he'll be quick for the low power of his Integra Type R.

looks like ill be sitting this one out. have fun guys and girls. see u at the next one

Big congrats to Tim Filby, very impressive performance and a great result in the WRX for a car that he is no doubt still getting used to in the current spec and still developing.

I was disapointed in my times by not even equalling my quickest time

of last year (50.38), but brake problems will always cost valuable

time, particually at the top of the hill.

I still managed to pick up a class in by the looks of it though.

Guys,

Here are the top 5 places for the hillclimb. Stu blames his brakes, I blame a slipping clutch, however fastest GTR on the day is good.

Tim Filby Subaru WRX 49.31

David Waldon Subaru WRX RA 50.23

Rodney Willits Nissan Skyline GTR 50.73

Gary Harrison Nissan Skyline GTR 51.17

Stuart Benson Nissan Skyline GTR 51.68

Clutch will be sorted in time for first round of state series at Symmons Plains this Sunday 5th March.

A great day had by all  . well done Rod for the fastest Gtr. Gary and Stu was hot on your tail. Gary was stoked with his 51.17. He said he had to double check what they said. Bit disappointed with my times, started the day running 15 psi boost and ended the day with 8psi and still couldn't get the ole girl to stay hooked up :woot: but still had a great time and was good to meet up with some people.

Thank's Stu'. :whoops:

Tim.

    • Today, I'm a Breville BES920 tech, new triac board and new 3x way solenoid. Had overheating issues, home RCD tripping when it got warm, and the boiler stayed on when the machine was shut off. Also, usually 3x way solenoid chatter, this is the 3rd time I'm replacing it. Mind you, this machine is 9 year old and send it every day doing at minimum 3x double shots. When the in laws come over to took after my daughter, it will easily see 6x double shots in a single day. Tried to be somewhat compliant, crimped and then used a screw connector over the top. Would have preferred to use heat shrinks.   After all that, turns out all the overheating has damaged the o-rings to the steam tap as well. Ordered new ones, coming soon.
    • Still got it- First time checking sau in a while ahhaha
    • I don't know about that. I can hoon my R32 around - hard launches, high lateral Gs - with <<1/4 tank without any such shenanigans. This with the previous 040 and the current GSS342. I would suspect a fuel line problem. One of the hoses associated with the top of the tank perhaps.
    • This is amazing. Love that you’re giving the boys an intro to cars and off the screens. They probably have an insta for the car and build posts on TikTok for their mates.
    • It is.  Your car works fine with the tank full. If you drive like a Nana it works fine.  You give it a boot full with half a fuel tank, you get surge.  It 100% is a fuel surge issue. Maybe have a look at installing a Hydramat if you don't want to install a surge tank.  https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/hydramat/
