Rb25det Into R32

So long as you don't run a hardcore clutch, i.e. button, then it should be fine.

I've seen first-hand a RB20 box stand up to ~230RWKW of RB26 day-in day-out, including track and drift work, no worries at all.

They don't like RB30DET's torque in third with over 200rwkw.

They strip it clean.

But definitely an under rated gearbox, I'm impressed with mine, if it went tomorrow I would not be dissapointed with its strength.

You will need to sus out the wiring as the ecu pin outs are different.

Are the loom plugs within the engine bay exactly the same?

Then you will have to change the ecu pinout if you wish to take advantage of vct.

Nah, there are a lot of little differences.

I think it was blind elk who ran a modified rb20 loom with an r33 ecu?

I modded the 33 loom to the r32 body plugs. The underdash plugs are a headf$%k to get right and i had to add a couple of the r32 plugs to the loom to run the water temp sensor for the climate control and also the fuel pump dropping resistor and also wire up the main power plug on the passenger side front near the airbox.

It's a good days work if you have done Nissan wiring before. A bit more if you can read diagrams but aren't fully familiar with the way nissan likes to do things (things like earth triggers and the like)

    • I’ve just installed a Uniclutch sport into my R32. I’ve been blown away by it… it drives like a stock Toyota Corolla. It doesn’t make sense to me that a performance clutch can drive this well. I was about to pull the trigger on a Nismo Coppermix twin plate when I discovered the Uniclutch and decided to give that a shot instead. They’ve changed the game and I couldn’t be happier.    I was previously using an Extreme cushioned button clutch with lightened flywheel. I’m still using the same lightened flywheel with the Uniclutch.
    • Mmmm no, that's a white series 2 R33 GTS-t
    • Oh and.... "no bubble on the dash" ---> immediate no mod status.
    • To be Frank (always liked that name), I reckon this is a better idea. I'm an R32 man from day 1 and the really good surviving examples that are still in stock form should stay that way. Let ye conscience guide you my son 🙂
