Suans R31 Silhoutte did it tonight with a 12.78 second pass...

Im very very impressed.. truck core , exhaust and a hi flow turbo.

thats a great result, but lets see it in a car that weighs as much as a R33.

that little dato that blew the diff did a low 13 i think and had a SR20 in it.

A r31 is almost the same weight as a r33. I say no more.

Thats a R200 diff in it to...should have been OK.

Funny thing is the run he did at 13.16 was against me when I cooked the clutch and backed off ,my slip said "win' (14.3ET),we took off together and I still beat him over the line so how did he record that time? Never saw him repeat that time again so what happened?

And also if u cross the line first you win the race but.. the other person can get a better time because he took off after you.

And don't R33s weigh 1400kg?

Yeh the weights are very similar once you put a rb20det into a r31.

Yes, It was a great time in the old R31, and we can take nothing away from the car or the driver. I think consistancy was difficult with the brass button clutch, but it finally got the time we knew it was capable of.

I should clarify my above post, I know higher RON fuels are better but was wondering if PULP or ULP is fine. I only ever run BP Ultimate in the R and that is a major obstacle to me taking the car with me if I have to follow a job up North.
