i got to drive to school for half the year when i got my car. i bunged up old lh torana. at least it was a 3litre, had *some* guts. looked like a real heap though. one of the first few days i drove it in, this other girl driving her mum excel or something says 'hey shaun is that even road worthy?' and i was like of cos! ya stupid idiot..., that last part was only thought though. i didnt even really know her and shes commenting on MY car? damn her. damn her i say.

Doesn't apply to That's just plain f*****g stupid. You can learn to drive in one, do the test in one, but then you wouldn't be allowed to drive it home!!!!

In canberra a few of the major learner driver companies have turbocharged cars for the learners (which i find pretty stupid really). So i guess the exemption is for that reason, or if your learning to drive on your L's in your dads skyline etc.

you could image the amount of kids that would rather learn in a turbo whatever then a ford festiva (as i did! :D) when it comes to picking driving schools.. even a turbo astra or something (can think of other smaller cars with turbos) would be cooler to a student then an excel..

Yeah actually that would be the case for a lotta kids hey.

I chose my driving school from others comments. So i chose the most easy going driving instructor of them all so i could get my licence in as little lessons as possible. It paid off, i got it in the minimum amount of lessons, while my mates driving the WRX's spent a good $150 extra to get their licences :)

haha my first car was a 1981 civic....1.3L....it had maby 50hp...and about 49 of em were dead...lol....talk about crap...farkn trucks were taking off from the lights faster than me...lucky my freinds didnt like me cos of my car...

i used to drive my r33 to skool everyone loved it, but there was also a 2 wrx's and a modifed 300zx tt, some nice cars at my school but, my mate had a new ss ute and got it impounded for doing a burnout outside a shopping center lol.

LOL i remeber when i was a youngin in year7 or 8 so 13 or so, i saw a RX7 smoke up the whole street, the busses had to wait 3 or so mins for the smoke to clear. So i contiuned walking to the train station, and abotu 5 mins later it went screeming past with the front gard onfire and a paddy wagon chaseing it. LOL

I guess it was stolen, but still when i saw that ive always said last day year 12, and if i don't pop a stock tired i'll be dissapointed :(

One of my mates has a HQ i think Holden ute, with apparently 350bhp, so i think he'll out do mine LOL but still the more the merrier LOL

could be a good idea to give L plates a go in a turbo car, hopefully it will scare the shit out of them and theyll drive slower because they know how dangerous it is and they know that whatever piece of shiz they drive its not worth speeding coz its not a fast car...... maybe

I'm glad to have driven my car on my L's... If I had gotten it on my P's I would probably have crashed it pretty badly

My first car i built on my l's with my old man we put a worked 5l fuel injected v8 into a vc commodore. The day i got my p's i was the happiest guy alive i could finally drive my v8 out the driveway and see how it went. On top of the world i was.

Thats how i felt, this car was my first car, ive had my licence for about 10months and this was the first car ive bought, i know that feeling, and still very much feeling it today =) I just can't wait for a skyline cruse one day.

so far ive driven a few turbo cars, 3 to be exact. 2 R33's, and a forester.

was the best damn feeling in the world doing laps of a carpark in R33 number one.

and then again hearing the boxer growl from the scooby

and my god, dropping it into second gear in a 230kw R33, and planting it pretty much has garunteed i will be getting a turbo car.

didn't scare me at all, but it did make me realise how much trouble a turbo car could put you in if you dont respect the boost. "second gear, wet round about and come on boost, bye bye road, hello tree"

my first car was my 33 and i drove it to school every day....i went to a private school but paid for my car myself...anyway there was a lot of guy getting given BMW's and stuff like taht one kid got given a 330Ci for his first car...anyway they thought they were top sh1t and would always go cruising round near nepean highway after school on fridays one of them told me my car was jap shit so i said ok let go nepean i showed them why they make skylines with such nice back on them... was quite funny...by the end of the year the car had all the respect it needed

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
