Hi ppls,

I've rang around the southern tow places, some are silly priced some are well priced, the well priced are unable to tow the car tomorrow afternoon. 3:30 onwards. :(

Does any one know of a car trailer hire mob that are well priced or a flat bed tow mob?

Cheerz.. I rang Caltex, $60 + deposit.

Up north there's Kanga Coachlines 83449646 - $40 + deposit.

I've managed to find a flatbed for tomorrow afternoon for $65. Flagstaff to Moana.

For future reference these are the two mobs that were well priced, pitty Down South Towing wasn't available at the time I needed. :(

Down South Towing - 0409696499 - Quoted $50

Daniel Towing - 0417775262 - Quoted $65

I have only had to call them after I had a s/h twin plate clutch installed, and it gave up when I pulled into work!

Your right though, no need for RAA if you own a Skyline unless its a self inflicted failure!

lol. only time i called the raa is when my clutch pedal box fell apart as i pulled into work. Woodville to TTG for $11 :)

Oh, and the time i put my clublock on, and then realised after shopping i didnt have the clublock key on me :) Needed to call a locksmith out in the pouring rain in a shopping carpark for that stupid episode :P...as Chris said...self inflicted :)

No.. Appears to be exactly the same..

Knock isn't any higher than ~30, I do get a knock around 4000rpm, power then goes flat until ~5000rpm where the lifters pump up and power noses over noticably. :)

One thing I didn't fiddle with last time it was on the dyno was the o2 feedback setting. I was going to try and lean it out a little (~15.2 up from the std 14.7) and see if fuel economy improved.

Since the GTR injectors have gone in cold starts are a pain in the arse, takes a little to long to kick and when it does it basically stalls straight away, warm is perfect. Maybe you can share your cold start enrichment. :P

I remember hearing your R32 doing the same upon a cold start chris... or doesn't it?

The injectors were perfect prior to the flow/clean and obviously perfect after, zero leaks all flow within 1% of each other. I replaced all o-rings and injector/manifold insulators. Zero vacuum leaks. :)

Fuel economy is great though.. Back down to ~10.6L/100km's.

When its up and running again (tomorrow afternoon) I'll have a fiddle with the cold start, I'm thinking it needs a little more fuel.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
