Hey guys

have 201rwkw on a r33 series 1 gtst

power fc

Hiflow cat

AVCR

FMIC

CES Racing 3" split dump

Set on 12psi at the moment

I have purchased a hiflow turbo ( plain bearing)

at the moment gettin new bearings put in it ( not ball bearing)

I'm going to be uppin the boost abit to a safe level.

Should i consider getting other things at the same time

like

Walboro fuel pump ( I did buy a bosch pump 040 but, i want to put it in myself and im not goin to bugger around with making a bracket for it.)

Injectors

Z32 AFM

Any help would be much appreciated

I would like to get close to 230rwkw

Thanks

gtr pump will be cheaper and direct fit and run at 12v instead of the walbro needing to run at 15volts. z32 is direct swap powerfc (needs AFR check) and get some s15 manual injectors (480cc) and it should all be fine

just the standard r33 series 1 turbo im guessing

plain bearing

Steel wheels

it is at turbo australia at the moment, getting new bearings put in it and rebalanced

as it did have a lil bit of movement in the shaft

Not sure of the specs and whateva, soon will find out when i get it back.

You will be a little dissapointed with that turbo bazr33, I know, I`ve been there.Read a couple of posts up on hi-flowed injectors and it may give you some idea where your headed.I did try the cheap hi-flow turbo and didn`t like it.To slow. Not painful but got a gcg hi-flow and it was much better.I would certainly spend the money and go ball bearing.Anyhow, if you get the z32 afm and some injectors try 14LB boost and you will be happy, very happy. :wavey:

You shouldn't need injectors to get to 230rwkw at all. You can save hundreds here. A new fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator should be plenty to get that power.

Speaking with my personal experience where I've made 240rwkw with pump and fpr. However, I'm limited to 16psi where my turbo wants to run 20. Injectors are next but for 230rwkw I wouldn't bother.

  • 5 months later...

have 230rwkw

with walbro fuel pump and the hiflow plain bearing turbo set on 12psi

(also the mods i have listed at the start of course)

next is 555cc injectors, z32afm and fuel reg and goin to 18psi

also have just purchased a aerospeed exhaust side cam gear

so i'll see if that makes any difference

240rwkw would be acheivable on standard injectors and running a fuel reg, as on standard injectors im only 10kw away from it.

with the 555cc injectors that im going to put in, with the z32 afm aswell

we are hoping to hit 260rwkw, and cant see why that wouldnt be possible

Yes the plain bearing will get hotter and take longer to spool up, but aslong as theres sufficient oil flow, and not sitting on 18psi everyday, every minute, i think it will be fine.

But if the turbo does decide to shit itself, it will be a rebuild or new one.

Obviously im just wanting a safe tune, 260rwkw is going to be my limit, with still having a standard engine.

Will let you guys know if she blows or if she goes and hits the mark.
