yeah well i was thinking Ebay but not sure who to deal with or just take a stab in the dark and just buy the cheapest 20D package i can find!!!

Or do i pay a little extra and just buy the body from a shop and get the lens, card and accessories from Ebay???

<_<

Guys Guys Guys STOP RIGHT THERE!!!

You buy cannon cameras so that you can have their LENSES NOT THE BODY!!!!

With out lense its USELESS!!

Get camera with Good lense. FULL STOP!!!

cheers

Joe

lol

what on earth are you talking about joe

not bad

although it comes with no lens :)

thats a good thing

buy that

and then buy a tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens for your walkaround lens

or whatever lens you want to buy

saving yourself money, and you dont get dodgy kit lenses

Yeah i realise that the lens is what makes the photo.

But my point was that camera was pretty expensive considering it didn't come with anything else.

Im in two minds at the moment.

1) Do i just hold off and buy a 20D with the 90-300mm Canon lens

2) Get the 350D with a better lens and go from there!!!

GMB

90-300 lens is shit.

it seems like youre only buying a 20d to wank over, rather than use the extra features, so just get the 350d with a good lens

Well no i wanted to get the 20D as its a better camera and i belive that once i get used to it and all the features and be able to shoot in manual mode then i can get better photo's for what i want to do.

I said the 90-300 lens as thats what would come with the camera if i bought it locally here in the shops.

I know its a tad to slow for what i want and didn't plan on using it for very long.

Was going to look at either Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 to start or save about $1200 and buy the Canon 70-200.

Cheers GMB

Yeah i realise that the lens is what makes the photo.

No its the photographer that makes the foto, not the camera nor the lens. Both are just an extension of their eye!!

But yes lens's are more important than bodies when it comes to sharpness, contrast & overall pic quality.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
