My front bumber and front lip are screwed. I know u can buy the new parts from Nissan Here in Australia... I heard the front lip costs about $409. Anyone know how much a Front Bumber bar is for a R32 GTR? or even a Grill? Are the cheaper to be sourced from Japan, or should i stick to Nissan Australia?

The clips on my GTR grill are broken, i guess i need a whole new grill..

Anyone had similar problem and replaced them with genuine parts?

Or do u go with local re made, carbon, or fibreglass copies?

I can get prices for genuine Nissan parts from Japan no problems, and for the stuff I've already bought from there (windscreen rubbers, engine firewall grommets and clips, washer bottles etc) the prices are about half what Nissan AU want... LOL. *But*, freight is going to be the killer here, so I would try and source a used genuine front bumper and lip/grille locally first before getting them new from Japan.

Our container is leaving within the next month, but its going to Perth. Where abouts are you?

Have you gotten prices from Nissan AU yet? If so, how much? I'm very curious about this...

Back in the day when i worked at a parts shop, "OUR/MY" price which was below retail (apparently) was approx $1000 for front bar and lower lip brand new.

rezz, how much for the door rubbers (the ones the door windows seal up against)?

i was quoted over 120 ea here in Aus.

I'll get full prices (inc delivery to AU) for all the most commonly replaced rubber bits for all R-series Skylines, S12/13/14 Silvias etc soon and post them up on the TKO-K's Garage site. Theres a few things I have to sort out first, but if you desperately need the window seals, shoot us a PM with your order and I can sort it out for you.

Rezz any chance you can get a price on:

-leather boot for the gear stick + hand brake

-nissan gear knob

-Series 2 or 3 bottom black front bottom lip for GTR bar

These are for a 33 GTR V spec.

Cheers,

Mark.

Ok no probs. Could you send an email to [email protected] with the order? Posting on here easily gets lost.

Cheers :P

if u looking for genuine Nissan parts for your GTR.. Give Brighton Nissan a call. they have in stock alot of import parts now. Saves mucking around alot.

Just depends on how much u willing to pay.

Ok everybody, I will get quotes back this week, just hang in there for a few days.

Predator/BlackR32: If I put together a 'Respray pack', what rubbers houl be included? Front and rear window seals and...? Let me know because I think this is a good idea not just for people who want to respray, but also for people who are sick of the faded and crappy rubbers.

Well the main ones are the front and rear windows, the door (window) seal ones that run around the top of the door frame. Also the ones in the door that thew window slides up and down on - the ones that leave scatches in the glass when they wear. Maybe need a fast shot to show em all :P

Then theres the rear 1/4 window seals.

I can't get the parts to you in less than a week... it'll probably take 2 weeks. But if youre happy to pay those prices in order to get the parts quicker then thats fine. I'll still get prices for these parts anyway. Trouble is, I don't think the bumper is within the max dimentions for EMS. Any Japan members attempted sending a front bumper via EMS before?

Mate if you could get part numbers off of FAST that would make my friends job so much easier... can you get them?

i have one here for you:

seal assy

80834-04U00

it's the drivers side window seal. runs along the top of the door (bottom of the window).

costs about $40 here for reference.

Thanks Richard  When parts can be bought from Nissan locally for under $100 it kinda negates the reason for getting the parts from Nissan JP... unless you need multiple parts of course. But at $40 for those 'top of the door' rubber strip things I would be getting them from Nissan AU.

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
