R31Nismoid

where you located

i will be traveling to heathcote one day over the next few months

maybe you can come to view the car

Vic, about 1.5hours from heathcote.

But lemme know if you do head down there, and if im free ill come for a cruise.

Might even have my car back for some drag workout :starwars:

hey jason good work mate, ya always get people having a go at whatever you try, but thats life :)

u shut alot of people up runnin a 10 and now u just gotta shut the rest up with a 9 haha :)

good luck in the hunt for 9's :)

Thanks mate

if i can organise an auto or dog box

i will gain .7 of a second

to start with from what we calculated in time losing while changing gears

then a little more power and harder launch should run a 9

well what im aiming for anyway

2 weeks he says! i have witnesses now :)

compressor surge is caused when your cylinder head cant flow what is being pushed through it. camshafts are your answer. GT35/40 are rated for 700hp.

Just a quick question, you say you have a gt3540 - just wondering what specs as mine has the 0.82 rear and is making 480rwhp with slight compressor surge (meaning the turbo has run out of flow) and 24psi, mine also sees full boost early 4000rpms - just after a comparison with when yours sees full boost as im assuming you have a 1.06 exhaust

And congrats on the power and qtr time

Thanks mate

Does that mean you think 10.8 is as fast as it is going to go with the standard gearbox?

:P cheers :)

i think that is

if i flat change i think it will blow in the first couple runs

i am trying to find a dog box if any 1 has 1 for sale.

I was of the impression compressor surge meant the turbo had run out of flow capacity, GCG apperantly do an anti surge front cover which has small holes to help with flow. I am thinking of doing this and 66mm front wheel if it won't make it noticeably laggier

according to garrett's site compress surge occurs when the pressure past the compressor outlet is greater than the pressure the compressor wheel can supply, ie the compressor map dictates that it can supply 12psi compression in the ideal scenario in the compressor island, but for some reason the pressure past the outlet, in intercooler/manifold pipework is above that 12psi level

They are bypass holes, they don't increase the maximum flow capacity of the compressor. They are used to prevent the problem that paulr33 explained in the previous post.

:) cheers :P

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
