it official i am now an employee of iDT game development. So steve i could be looking at upgrading the computer in around 4 - 6 weeks.

also intereseted in one of those big monitor ;)

nice what do they do any other positions there :miner:

not that i know of.....

they have employed all the members of the forum that i run (sorry not public yet) they saw our work and offered us the positions >_<

Your beloved Viewsonic is actually the exact same panel as the CMV one... CMV make them for Viewsonic.

Not all the time. If stock runs low while producing, some companies outsource the parts to keep production going. Its known companies like BenQ use LG internals sometimes if they need to. Not all monitors are the same, as quality from monitor to monitor can be different. Hence why some have issues with dead pixels, backlight bleeding etc.

U always hear the 5 horror stories, but not the millions of satisfied customers. I tend to go with companies that have been around for a while, so i know they at least have some sort of product rep...chimei has about the quality of the $30 dvd players u get from cheap as chips :P

My mistake chops, AUO makes Benq and Viewsonic LCD monitors where as CMV uses their own company CMO, both companies in comparison make identically shit LCDs but their price is very hard to beat. the 22 inch has a very good contrast ratio on both parts and supports HD 1080dpi. I have tested this and it looks great.

Blackr32 that is correct definitely, as reported some of manufacture had been put over to CMO for Viewsonic monitors. prime example.

I think though, all in all, If you put the fact into the equation that nearly all of these monitors costs under 600 dollars, these are fantastic for their price. definitely worth it and I swear by the CMV 22D so far. Also I think that the BenQ 20" Widescreen 8ms LCD which I have tested does seem to have crisper quality but even though difference is negligable I would go with the larger viewing area, and the faster response time.

Light leakage is the main problem on the 22inch CMV blackr32 not image quality, it isnt grainy at all, If you are viewing TV or some other form of external Video source on the monitor it could be the signal or data quality itself. I have tested several games (lately NFS:Carbon) and movies on the LCD and its performed well.

I hear its a good panel but if you focus too hard you can just see the anti-glare coating on the screen, looks like a slightly grainy fine thin layer on the surface of the picture. good panel tho.

best panels in the world are made by panasonic. thats no lie. they do all the alpine head units among others too. I wonder if theres a way to hook up my touch screen alpine tv unit to a computer in the car or something.

Read some reviews on the viewsonic 21" 2025wxm

I bought one and it is amazing, its was meant to be one of the best 21s when I got it.

I was tossing up between that one and the BenQ at the time - every review that compared them side by side told me to spend the extra fiddy and get the viewsonic, so I did.

What really matters with all these things though is that YOU are happy with the performance you got for the price you paid.

I'm going to buy an LCD tv this weekend.

But i'm in to minds as to whether buy one that just does 1080i or wait a while and get one capable of 1080P.

Any thoughts,

i mostly want it for playing xbox360 and playstation 3 in the future.

Yes you can, but only from about 5cm away and if you are really looking for it.

Don't want DVi really i want HDMi. And i'm aware HDMI and DVi are almost the same just that HDMi carries sound signals.

Money is no object really. Between 2 and 3 grand is ok, but don't want to spend much more than that.

so really u want an LCD tv not a monitor... if you have an amp/ speakers/ surround sound system with an optical input why worry about HDMI and getting sound out the front of crappy speakers on a tv...? use the DVI connection, then get an optical cable for your audio and you will have crisper sound. (since 2-3gs is ur budget I wouldnt worry about LCD Monitors, go for an LCD TV that supports HD)

I then suggest a Panasonic LCD Panel tv. Panasonic make the best LCD TVs and Plasmas, you will love it.

      "CAD" version 1.0 It will have a 15mm lip around the top for 6 × 5 or 6mm nutserts and fixtures (two on each of the three straight edges), and some pinch weld on any exposed edges, it has three mounting points, one of the power steering reservoir bolts, and two on the rad support, my 120mm hole saw will make short work of hole for the silicone joiner, with ample room for some pinch weld  I've also got enough Carbuilders "peel and stick" heat shield to cover the outside of it at the coolant expansion tank and on the engine side, as pictured, and internally on the lid and where the fuse box is, I've also got some thin, about 3mm, black 3M single sided sticky foam stuff that was left over after sealing some door drafts at home to help seal the lid As for the shape, it "sort of" matches the shape of the fuse box, so shouldn't look to "out of place" The lower area and hole for the intake will need pinch weld with a balloon on it to fully seal the hole and bottom of it, that will happen after it has been fabricated so I know exactly what size is required  Filter service has been trialed,  and so far it was a simple process  Just need to get some alloy, and then head into work to use the guillotine and break press in the workshop Hopefully it should be sorted in a week or two Guestimated outlay will be under a $50 for the stuff I don't have on hand (alloy, 6mm nutserts, the pinch weld, and wrinkle paint) Disclaimer: That's what the "voices in my head" are telling me how the filter box should end up getting done......lets see if they know what they are talking about

      Hey mate, the brown and grey plugs would usually go to the TPS, brown one goes on the bottom connector and grey is the top but isn't used unless the car is auto, your TPS looks different to mine though I've got a series 2 engine.
