i like it in torrents how i can upload sweet f**k all and download at upwards 150kb a sec with cable. adsl u share too much. i dont like sharing cause stupid bigpond counts uploads to dl limit.

Yep, with node I can max my download to about 90% in the first week, then seed for free for the next 3 weeks! My torrents all autorun til 300% seedage, most closed community trackers require you to give back at least as much as you take out!

leechers dont suck... if you are talking about the way leechers are able to get forms of illegal media, why does it suck. it shouldnt affect anyone but the software developers... are u a software developer. I leech, doesnt matter what file. im allowed to and i dont need to count 3 gigs to my dl limit if its a 1.5gb file. even when i get adsl2+ i will still limit it.

no SAZilla, he is saying you suck because you download torrents, but don't upload your fair share. If everyone (or even a reasonable percentage of people) did this, the whole system would not work.

I have never downloaded a file that I didn't seed back to 200%.

lol. if u seed it ur doing soemthing even more illegal if you are talking about illegal software. distributing further. if people leech there is nothing u can do about it, and dont say i suck because everyone does it and dare say you have done it before. there is no good in seeding or leeching, if ur talking about sharing fine, but there is no morality in either. and thats the fact.

I use open trackers, i dont get any files from closed groups because I have to. If you want to seed your file on a public tracker thats your descision. i can do what i like.

dude, no-one (except you) is going off on a tangent of legality etc - that has nothing to do with anything ....

You said "i like it in torrents how i can upload sweet f**k all and download at upwards 150kb a sec with cable. adsl u share too much. i dont like sharing"

.... what I responded was that this is a bad attitude.

If you download a 1Gb file, then you should leave the file sharing in your torrent client until you have uploaded 1Gb back into the system.

Then you are sharing it with everyone else, rather than just downloading the file and not sharing it. If everybody did this then you would never have been able to download the file in the 1st place. Understand?

The point is if you want fast torrents do the "right" thing and stay on the torrent, Im part of a private bit torrent tracker where you get banned if your ratio is under .95 and as a result you get an average of 300-1000kb/s on all new releases (movies games tv shows etc)

ok, fair enough. I used legality so we could all be *careful* on this issue. u as a moderator and I as an administrator should know this. secondly, i get around 10-20 percent of my downloads from torrents, and the rest thru FTP and HTTP direct links, which in most cases are much faster, stored on big servers where bandwidth usually isnt a problem, and everyone is happy. what else can I say.

you have to upload in order to download. it doesnt cost me anything to upload - last i recalled, so it doesnt phase me.

rolls, keen on letting me in on your 'priavte' network?

it costs me, hence why i am ultra-reluctant. if it didnt cost me anything i would let sharing go on over night, but because i have 3 other computers in the family each complaining about bandwidth it would be highly innaprporiate and inconveniant on this cable connection. even on ADSL2 it would be the same.

if thats the case, your better off going to lan's for your files or whatever it is you like to download. i havent been to one for 5 yrs.

on that note.....

SAU SA LAN??? I WANT TO PLAY BF2!!!!!! with little to no ping yo!

Haha, my ratio is 800/300gig over the last year and Ive gotten a total of 1 invite which I've used. Maybe if I ever get another one. They are pretty elitest though, if you invite someone and they f**k up (shit ratio) you get banned as well. Great system though, get alot of stuff before its even seen on newsgroups and private FTPs etc.

what is the name of the group Rolls? I am a member of 'tvtorrents' and have just made up my 11Gcredits that you need to invite someone. That is, I have uploaded 11 times what I have downloaded (well almost - you can get bonus credits so it is not a directly linear thing).

#1 - The first rule of Fight Club is, you do not talk about Fight Club.

#2 - The second rule of Fight Club is, you DO NOT talk about Fight Club.

No shit they search google for the name of the community and track down forum posts, alexa browsing history etc, get your IP and compare it to their active users and ban you for breaking the first rule. I wasn't joking when I said it was elitest. Dont worry man theres no way you can get in unless someone gives you an invite, and not many people get them.

I can however give you an invite to supertorrents.org, its pretty good for recent releases and they also maintain banning of users with poor ratios so you get wicked speeds. I've got 4 invites 3 of which I'm willing to give away, if you think you can maintain a ratio of at least 1:1 wing me a PM.

Multiple users with the high upstream of adsl2 works excellent. capping upstream to ~70-80kb/s and having 3-4people web browsing isn't a problem.

I use torrent and Internodes Premium Usenet. Usenet kicks shiet over anything else for speed.

For usenet I use Newsleecher with its supersearch function. Awesome combination.

I'm a member of a private torrent site. Awesome speeds almost all the time with latest releases.

Always share what I take as a bare minimum and continue to seed should the seed/leecher ratio suck.

hehhe

Little or no ping will not help you escape the wrath of Cubes.. lol

It will happen, but its going to be after xmas. There's quite a bit of work and $$ to get suitable benches around the back room.

    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
    • The incentives are mostly the same, yes. Ethanol is cheap compared to the cost of doing 98-100 RON with crude oil alone. 87 to 93-94 AKI all with E10. In 2020 Canada mandated E10 as a part of their "renewable fuel standard" and is supposedly going to go to E15 in 2030. In California where there are only 8 refineries with two threatening to shut down next year it's been over 20 years now of E10 and 91 AKI maximum because there's just not enough refinery capacity or crude oil supply relative to the demand for premium unleaded fuel. And CARB's low carbon fuel standard means functionally none of the diesel available at the pump is made from crude oil anymore. It's almost all entirely 20% biodiesel blended with 80% renewable diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil) now. The number of gasoline vehicles that support E15 or higher ethanol concentrations is surprisingly low, I can't imagine it being wise to play tricks like this without flex fuel sensors in most of the fleet.

    • South Australia, which is hardly as far behind as the rest pf Oz makes out, and who is also not a paragon of progressiveness (read that as over-legislation) in the area of vehicle standards, has this to say on the subject: Adjustable coil-over suspension Aftermarket adjustable coil-over suspension components are suspension units that incorporate an external thread on the main body and corresponding threaded spring saddle that allows the vehicle's suspension height to be varied. If fitting aftermarket or coil-over suspension components you must submit an Application to modify a light motor vehicle form and a report from a light vehicle engineering signatory (LVES).
