Hi MrVspec, if you don't auto clave the parts, am I correct in assuming that you don't do stressed stuff such as prop shafts?

Cheers

PS your parts look very well made... you NEED to get your website up again!

PPS can you do an R32gtr with Z-tune style louvres down the middle?

no we dont do prop shafts, only do stuff that can be tested in house before the product is marketed.

yeah the website is taking a long time hey, been onto the boss about it. He tells me it'll be up soon, but yeah who knows maybe a month or two??

the 32gtr with z tune louvres is possible, but you have to make a plug, then the mould then the product this all costs money, and with carbon being hard to get at the moment parts are very very expensive... i am doing my bonnet at the moment for my GTR all custom with vents and stuff when i'm finished i'll post up some pics.....

Hi Noy, from what i remember you guys do vac bag ur lay-ups?? If this is the case, dunno if u do know or not but there is a new pre preg out that is resin impregnated from one side and dry on the other, Good to use if u do not have an autoclave. Just vac bag and chuck into an oven.. Resin system is a VTM type so cure temps can be anything from 60-110 degree C.

I saw a sample part made from it today and the finish was really good (mold did not have a gel coat). If u do not know about it then get onto the usual suspects...(Lavender/advanced comp). Could be usefull for the stuff that you guys make n would be shit loads easier to lay up as comapred to a wet lay up. cheers.

Hey SK, I rang around on Monday all around australia, and nobady has any pre made, I then rang around to get some made and everywhere in sydney is short on carbon. So i rang the guy on here custom carbon in brissy they are making me up a big panel of it give them a try on 07 38652014.

Gee i'm a bit late at replying but thanks for the plug...

Any updates on this setup yet?

Work is flatout mate bonnet is almost done, woking out placement for the duct, then start working on the airbox plug.. should be in the next few weeks... sorry for keeping ya hanging.. should look sweet though.

dont know if i'm gonna take it to jamboree yet ??? it will definately be done for brisbane auto salon.

I'm putting custom vents in the CF bonnet that duct straight to an enclosed airbox. no more hotair for me

Just a quick one on this:how are you getting around avoiding water ingestion(IE: what happens when it rains...)? If it's something you'd rather keep quiet design wise, then OK;maybe PM me for a 'general' idea?

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
