where is it damaged, if its in a straight peice of pipe they can just weld a new one too it but if its on a bend, some hks ones are mandrel bent it can be quite expensive.

gold coast custom exhaust are good, but it really depends on where u are. any exhaust shop can do good jobs.

not exaclty sure where it is damaged

THe cars so low i dont think my mate has had a real good look at it yet! All he knows is that its making a whistling sound and its coming form under the back passenger seats

will power output be affected tho after repairs are done?

depends what kind of welding technique they use, which all depends on how much they pay him.

my cars quite low also, but u can get under it. hopefully he jsut riped a gasket out from between a flange plate. $5 fix and $10 labour i reckon.

but get ya mate to have a good look.

    • If there's enough meat in the housing where you want to put the M12 adapter, then do it, but be aware that if/when you f**k that up you'll probably be repairing it before doing anything else. I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
    • Tried to make 1/8npt threads into compressor house of the turbo for my EBC. Threads got fu#ked and ended up with and elongated hole, so I do have good amount and nice threads 90% of the hole but 10% I only had 1-2threads there and rest of it is flush on that side of the hole.. So my idea is to do M12 x 1.25 to AN4 with braided lines instead of 1/8npt to 4mm vacuum silicone hose.  and hopefully get a better thread. M12 is quite big and AN4 is a little bit bigger than 4mm (4.9mm inner diameter braided PTFE hose). but this should work. Thoughts? Otherwise I will weld and adapter onto the turbo.
    • Looks great, I hope everything is working well after all that time!
