Silver bullet
I don't know much about HIDs. Can someone who does have a look at this link and let me know if they look ok, or do you know a better place to get them. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Super-Vision-HID-Co...1QQcmdZViewItem Is this a good price? Is there anything I need to look out for when buying HIDs Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/110981-hids/ Share on other sites

Busky2k
Don't go over 5000k or you'll loose light output and also they'll start to look more blue than white.. which is gay really. OEMs are 4300k. Edited March 25, 2006 by Busky2k Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/110981-hids/#findComment-2047373 Share on other sites
9krpm
hey that's a good price I agree with Busky you will loose lux with higher frequency and the light colour will also change. BTW do you guys know what type of bulb I need for my R32GTR 93 Vspec model? I wouldn't mind getting a set as my eyes are not that good at night. Nightcrawler
I bought some off a group buy on NS.com about a year back for $280. They are 6,500k and are superb. I had them in my S15 and now have them in my R34. If you have one ounce of tech knowledge and electrical sense install them yourself - easy job. The standard S15 lights absolutely suck ass - you won't even know the car with HIDs installed - makes it a joy to drive at night. I believe the ones I have are cheap Chinese units, but have been flawless for around a year now. I think with these cheaper units (like I have), when you blow a globe you throw the whole kit away, as replacements would be very exxy and near impossible to find (not too sure though). But HID globes are supposed to last 5x times longer than normal globes anyhow. Keep in mind HIDs are illegal unless you have self-levelling and washing capabilities, but I don't and have never had a problem. DO IT, highly recommended!
