hey,

got a problem here, has anyone use trust profac B-spec II on R34 GTT before?

I got one unit to be fitted with Apexi pfc ECU...the boost would not hold..I've seen the dyno result..whenever boost hits 0.9bar, it just dive down, the device I thought was faulty...The tuner is X-speed in W.A...they have spend the whole day trying to tune the damn thing...and even told me that they had another experienced mechanics in to take a look at the connection and such.....but still couldn't figure what is wrong with it.....

so I sent back to gR33ddy whom i got the boost controler from to be tested by trust

I got news from gR33ddy that the boost controler is not faulty???

huh??? so tuner said it's faulty and seller say it's not....wtf is this....

back to topic..is this just because profac cannot be fitted on GTTs? or am I getting screwed by one of the party involved...

Well there is not doubt that boost controller is completely fine for your car. The poor performance you are experiencing are thus either due to a fault with your device, a faulty installation or a problem with the tuner.

I am using the same controller on my GTR and despite some initial waverings as to whether it was up to the job it seems to be performing adequetly now I have worked out it's little quirks.

If you go grab the settings and type them out it might give us an indication to where the problem is. There should be these settings:

- boost (% figure)

- set boost (value in bar)

- gain (% figure)

There are also limiter figures which con red when you're scrolling thru the modes. Be sure your limiter is not set below your set boost or you could see something like you describe............. thats an obvious one though your tuner would definately not stuffed that up.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
