all looks good up to when the power plateau's at about 140km/h..

most graphs i see the car peaks and then drops off rather than plateauing

not sure why that happens

but its been plotted in shootout mode, and the intake temp is the same as the air temp, so the figure is quite realistic in my opinion

ahh thanks for your responses guys..

:D

good to hear that at this stage shes roughly where she's suppose to be..

yeah i agree with finishing off the exhaust first, then follow with fmic and pfc ..

(very very keen for the pfc, hope there is another group buy coming soon :( )

Cheers,

-JD

That’s a pretty good result congrats! I definitely recommend fitting a split dump as it gave me big increase... and I’m hoping to do the same with mine come Christmas time...

-PFC (tuned)

-Splitfire Coils

-Hybrid GT spec FMIC

-Bosch 044 fuel pump

-555cc Nismo injectors

-11psi boost (Turbotech)

What rw/kw figures should I be looking at?

Currently 165rw/kw… all stock except Full 3” exhaust & split dump + K&N

Would a larger AFM make any difference?

Regards,

Sarkis

JD - I am surprised to see your AFR to be so nice. From my experience usually R33s run a lot richer than this. I'm wondering whether your fuel pump is getting lazy. If you go and increase the boost anymore you will see if this is a problem.

I.e. Don't raise boost too much without slapping it on the dyno to check your AFRs

The AFRs are pretty much spot what you would tune them to. Usually the stock ECU doesn't do this..

yeah thanks guys, i am surprised about the afr too..

QRI05E:

I will be looking to do the exact same mods as you after I finish off my exhaust.. (except for turbotech, cause already got 1 )

did you get ur dump from bapmbl ?

cheers,

-JD

Hey JD, I got my split dump and whole exhaust made and fitted by Liverpool Exhausts... at least that way i have 3 years warranty and know who made it... i have truly found them to be the best at price and quality...

JD,

I bought a dump pipe and hiflow cat off BATMBL a while ago when I had similar mods to yourself and found a noticeable improvement in power once I had them installed. The stock exhaust is very restrictive, so bang for buck, this should be the next mod on your list.

Speaking from personal experience, I wouldn't go anywhere near the above mentioned workshop if you want quality work done...

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
