THe blue will give you worse vision, it actually removes light from the spectrum to give you that blue look... thats the definition of rice - a mod that makes something worse...

If you really want them still - look for globes with a high heat rating like 8000-10000k will give you a blue look...

RICE?MATE I DONT CARE I COULD STRAP A COUPLE OF THOSE CRAPPY BIRTHDAY CAKE CANDLES TO THE FRONT OF MY CAR AND GET BETTER VISION THAN IAM FROM EXISTING GLOBES.THANKS FOR ADVICE THOUGH ILL KEEP THAT IN MIND:)

All i was saying is that blue gives less light than normal bulbs... you're complaining about lack of light ...

Anyways did you check with the JDMImport guy?

here i found the link, he has them

I've got ( and am using ) a pair of H3C globes by Raybrig. They are around 80W ( instead of the normal 55W ) and are the best I've seen short of HID. They have a slight blue look about them from an angle but are clean white light projected out the front. I'll try to remember to get all the details for you tonight. Can't recommend them highly enough :P

I'm sure I've seen someone on this forum that deals in Raybrig.........

Here's the globes I was talking about. If someone would like to translate it all into english it might make some sense :)

Anyway, these are the best globes I've used. If you find someone on this forum who deals in Raybrig it might be a good idea to approach them about a group buy. I'll be in if the price is right :O

there is a trader(osaka boy?) on here that sells them - pricey though... if you are after better night vision then may as well shell out for a hid kit - should be sellers/trader even gb on here for some or you could always try ebay

I think you're refering to chiba_osaka_boy but he doesn't deal in Raybrig, he deals in Polarg ( or something like that ).

Anyway, aren't HID kit's illegal ?? I have no idea why they would be but I've heard they are. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
