guys

my mate's just bought himself a GTS-T Auto (saying the lady wants to drive too - don't ask why).

After a month, the car's been drinking fuel for city driving and despite running some sort of aftermarket exhaust,it is still a slug.

Just interested in asking - what can we do to make the car a smoother ride and not eat so much fuel??I mean, yeah it's an auto so we wont go into performance but just want it to be of a "decent" standard.

any ideas will be welcomed- ie. spark plugs, clean throttle body , etc....

So are you saying you want more power?

If so its not cheap.

If you are complaining about fuel maybe you should get remapped ecu for auto 4 gears.

I recently got mine done... he built a whole new map because i only had 4 gears not 5. Now it has more torque at lower revs all the way through to mid range. We plan to adjust ignition timing once i install my new turbo in a week. This could help for performance if timing is off.

But really depends on what mods you plan to put in it.

1. oxygen sensor change

2. stock ecu reset

3. change exhaust

4. stock boost solenoid mod/hack

5. fit a boost controller

6. fit a piggyback fuel computer (apexi safc)

7. fit a good cold air intake

my mate lives in the Melbourne Cbd area. Do you have any recommended mechs who do these services without breaking the bank(but with quality as well)?

thanks,mate!

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
