hi all. I was just wondering, has anyone been able to put on 34gt-t stock rims on a 33gts-t.? I have a set of 34 wheels, but the front ones will not go on. They are just short about 2-3mm from clearing the brakes (they hit the inside of the brake, spokes clear the outside). I'v heard some people say that they have them on and I was wondering if u guys are using spacers or managed to get them on some other way...

thanks

maybe my calipers could be out of position by a bit then... I was able to put the wheels on and bolt them. But as you turn the wheels it scrapes the brake... You can still make it turn all the way around with a bit of force.... Are you sure you guys dont have spacers on?

If it dosen't rub the brake in a straight line, then it shouldn't rub when you turn because the whole hub assembly moves (inc brakes) in line with the wheel.

I have them on my 33 gtst....fit without spacers or anything else. My brakes (calipers/rotors) are std. It is a close fit between the bottom of the caliper and the wheel hub (centre) but there is a fair bit of room between the caliper face (where it says nissan) and the wheel spokes.

Maybe you have AM calipers or rotors that required a re-position of the caliper?

thanks for all the replys guys, I'v taken some pictures off where the problem is. On most of the pics you can see a white line on the caliper where the wheel is scraping (if you cant then look under the nissan writing). I had bolted the wheel on completly and spun it by hand (not very easy). I'v also included a picture of the wheel which has a line on it where it was hitting the brake. and another one of the brakes themselves so you guys can make sure its of an R33. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated... cheers

Clearly contacting, which leaves me in no doubt the disc hat (the part the wheel clamps against) is too thin as many others fit these wheels.

Whip the discs off, take them to a brake place that has, say DBA or RDA discs in stock for R33 GTSt and compare the thickness. You may then be up for new rotors but it would seem to be the only safe and legal solution.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
