Liz i love my car but when i move to Brissey i will be upgrading it...might have to hang on to the 31 for slow restoration into a weapon of commondore destruction

upgrade??? how do you upgrade from the best car ever made?

what model you got?

I was considering a 31 until a week ago, was just too heavy and costly for the purpose I intended it for :)

might still get one as a daily driver in a few months!

Its a series 3 12/89. Was a auto when i brought it i converted it to a manual, put a LSD in it, big swaybars all round, lowered kings springs, strut brace, slotted disc's all round and all rubber hoses changed to stainless braided. It is still a nice car everyone that sees it comments on how tidy it is, just needs a motor and better gearbox now. Oh and its got 17's on it.

GTRs are for people who aren't skilled enough to get good times out of a rwd car :)

The GTR wont see too much track work its a cruiser mainly.....and as much as i love my 31 (hence why i will probably keep it and do the conversion i always dreamed of) you just cant go past the awsome nature of the GTR.

Shane i have a feeling we will need to meet when i get down there...i just cant decide what model GTR to buy, a mate of my dads said he could get me a 34 at the right price but i am thinking it will be a low grade car and i dont want that

I found some good jobs yesterday, and Andy is starting his applications tonight. He's keen as mustard babeh :)

Well buddy I’d be more than happy to take you for a little drive when you come down. I’ll be able to start the new engine in 4 weeks hehehe (if you don’t know, I’ve got 3ltr bottom end and GT-RS’s :))

      I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.

      Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
