got any reason why u dont like them? i've had no problems what so ever, and the speeds are fast, no dropouts etc...plus telstra is going down the plughole

optus run all the old network equipment from their overseas office.

they've not upgraded any of it in a while since they set it all up.

telstra on the other hand have a major deal with the big players including cisco.

they've recently just upgraded most of their exchanges for cable in launch of their new braodband network they are about to release that'll be apart of the 3g network.

SHHHH. no one is to know about this. :P

interesting...so what are the speeds going to be like? is it going to be reliable? what sort of cost are we looking at?

the US have had T3, T2, & T1 for years, and we're just getting T3 now, quite sad really

America is practically the backbone of the whole internet.

They can afford to sell t1-3 links for $60-$80USD a month to people though.

Unfortantly, we have the degrading pipeline link between countries where we actually suck the bandwidth from.

links will be faster, prices will remain the same if not, only go up by probably $10 or somethin like that.

our telstra wholesale rep didnt give me much info except for wat i said now and before.

And what happens if you go over the 7G?

either they stop your internet (doubtful) or they cap you to a really slow connection like at dialup speed (so they say it is but really, its half the speed of dialup).

OR.

they charge you for extra bandwidth you use and still stay at the same speed you usually get.

Hey John, I really admire you in taking on the qld police with that stupid copper who gave you those defects, STICK IT TO THE MAN DUDE! POWAH TO TEH PEOPLE! FIGHT TEH POWAH!

hehe, thanks dude.

goin to take a while to go through the process of doin this

but as they say - things come to those who wait.

just got to take all this step by step and get my fines out of the way

which will then allow me to move onto the next step of showing the next judge that the fines i received from this cop shows that cops like this one are clearly handing out fines for no proper/real reason and that either

a) the law should be taken away from the police in handing out defect notices

or

b) lower the power of this law to police in handing out defect fines to cars that are defected in terms of bald tyres, lights not working, etc etc.

stripping this power will become a victory point for us "hoons" against the fight we have with the police.

g'day andy, wats crappenin?

Narting much!

You wouldnt happen to have a spare S1 R33 ignitor would you :P This whole swapping the good one between cars is getting annoying lol

Morning Shane, Andy. *tips at*

Howdy

That is some funny shite John!! And being in Bathurst they probably had a line 10 deep for the position!!!!!

SIF bathurst is a sausage fest, you would be lucky to find 10 women on the top of the mountain

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
