hmm.. maybe u forgot to tighten something like a return line.. or the return galleys are blocked.? and all the oils in the head..?

is it seized? im sure shane did nothing wrong he knws a fair bit of stuff just bit puzzling if he built it right and it disapeared...

i bought the engine as a complete assembled engine that came out of a front cut from japan. so there shouldnt be any gunk or what not in the galleries, and the engine did have oil in it before i bought it.

this is odd

hmm ok. how old was the engine..? like condition and stuff. and it was all working..?

so no oil leaked out.. but ther is none in ther..?

Okay well the RACQ guy just said it is something electrical. I'm not sure how an electrical fault could cause all the oil to disappear :laugh:

Anyway I don't want anyone coming up with conclusions until it's looked at properly.

I feel like shit as well. Do you have that random bug going around? f**king thing. It makes you a little bit sick for ages and won't go away. I'd rather be heaps sick for a day or two and then better again. Meh :O

And sif i'd blame shane. He's my lover-on-teh-side :P

ok no conclusions.. does it turn over.. its prob starter motor or a blow relay. shane might have forgotten to plug something up. it happens when u put engines in :P

Nah he's teh master of checking oil. Before the engine in the 32 died we were checking it like every 5 minutes as it was using it like a muthaf**ker.

He does suck with it comes to doing things with engines though. His hands are too fat to fit in the gaps so I get called downstairs everytime there is a bolt or something that needs removing or replacing. My fingernails are all grotty from the weekend. He couldn't work the oil filter remover so I needed to use it. God those things are screwed on tight! :P

little trick with oil filters i've found, grab a big long screwdriver, smack it through the filter and turn, hey presto it comes undone :laugh:

try doin a RB26 oil filter.. shane can vouch for how difficult they are. ive done 4 services in 12-13k and i can just say not happy jan...

      There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.

      Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂

      The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.

      Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.

      Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
