dragger quicker than carlos's supra? :) u seen/heard the development they've done on carlos's car? they've been using motion sensors for data logging on the farking suspension! once it run's an 8, carlos is ditching it and starting with a fresh shell (carbon fibre at that), and running a titan 3.4ltr

No it's not quicker, it could have be IMHO, some american Supra's are still quicker then Carlos's using the 6 spd.. I wasn't aware of the new work done to his though, so i take that back.. for now.

DRAGGER with the 3.4lt would be a monster..

Seems to me given the figures they are quoting as to the greenbacks spent to make the horsepower that you could do it with a gtr and have the best of both worlds. Power and the right car.

those cars are no expense spared though....they were done at millenium and noone cuts corners there...2j's can handle some of those cars power with stock internals...but they have done a full build to be safe...try that with a GTR and you'll be picking up the pieces off the floor. Having said that you're going to spend serious money to get to that level no matter what engine you start with rb26 or 2j.

I'm not really into body kits... I like clean bodys with fender pulls and wrong offset wheels :) I'm a drift rat remeber.

DAMN does like nice, but I have never been into "show" looking cars.

Agreed. But if i were to do it i would take the concept of the gtr with attessa over the rwd supra any day.

yes, but those yanks are farking crazy lol, and all they do is supras (well alot of them that is)

theres 3 fairly large crates that carlos has, 1 for him, and 2 for his customers

i dare say millenium are going to be a force to reckon with in the next year or so, even more so than they are now

yea, but i suppose it depends on a) Your like of the looks of the car and b) your application...I honestly like rwd for playing around, having said that a torque splitter can do that for you...personal preferance I guess.

Those create motors are cheap too... for what you get anyway. :)

Same again but, i dont think 1000 horsepower could be termed as "playing around"

With that sort of fat i would want as much going for me in the grip and traction department that i could get.

4WD just gets in the way when u want to go QUICK (at the drags that is) look at reece mcgregors gtr, put a high end rwd setup in that, and it'd run hell of a lot quicker times

They're a good workshop and they produce good/reliable cars....I'd trust them with my car and that says a bit as I don't like a lot of workshops. They dyno'd my old 33 and played around with it a bit...Carlo's is always informative and keeps your best interests at heart...it's good to see them doing so well.

I agree with josh...although I like those supras...clean lines, clean bodykits and minimum fuss is where it's at. Nice JDM wheels in a non ricy colour. Days of veilside and chrome wheels are gone...and have been for a while...imo. The show car finish is nice but a subtle yet tough looking car is better.

yea it depends on how busy they are and what your getting done...but I know what you mean...I guess its the price you pay when you take your car to a popular workshop....well that and the actual price :) hahaha

Its well known that a rear wheel drive drag car set up corectly can launch faster than an all wheel drive job but these guys are talking street cars. You may get a few strange looks cruisin the city with 38 inch slicks and wheelie bars. :)

      The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.

      Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.

      Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful

Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
