I'm all good You?

Been a member for a few months - just took me ages to bother changing my name(s) and getting my group updated on SAU. Though I'd better make a donation too.... ;) Yeah, I just wanted the stickers!!

:(:) for the BNR32 VSpec - there was a R32 @ autosalon today which made something like ~450kw@all 4 wheels. Friggen hot machine - maybe I should upgrade too....

You coming to the mystery cruise tomorrow?

yeah bro im goood.. tierd from camping and did farking like 700kms on the 180sx and averaged 9.3L per 100kms.. YES U SKYRINES BEAT THAT... lol :);)

yeah think im going tomorrow after breakfast at my work.. i knw the boys miss me at work lol. going to autosalon after and perhaps that cruise.. i have to check the events section... tell me about it mate

mmmmm I dream of 9.3L economy...... I reckon I'm on about 400K per tank at the moment...which is roughly ~18L/100km!!! crap..... :worship:

lol yes i averaged 9.3L with mixed thrash (lil highway hooning) and constant 100kph zones.. that and the odd car park a normal week i get around 11L and a week wher i go to archy i get 12-12.5L the R34 GTT got around 450 per tank and got around 12.5-14 the GTR got around 12-16L

pffft 250rwkw on the old setup in the R32 and I went from Thornleigh in Sydney to just outside Coffs harbour on 38L

its easy to be fuel efficient when you make 140rwkw Marki :)

shut up andy... :worship: its putting more than 140kw i hope :(

how is the Sil80

My GF's Mirage gets 700km to a tank around town. It's a 45L tank.

I see your 9.3 and raise you 2.9 L/100

Current bid is 6.4 L/100...... Beat that you 180 bish

My car, the R33 from Brisbane to Rocky (650km's or there abouts) on one tank (100kph most of the way in 5th gear) and that on a 300rwkw tune...

Its all in the way you drive it Mark, you should know that...

I filled her to full at Shell at Aspley, right at the start of the Bruce Highway and set out at 100kph through the night, arived in Rocky as the sun was rising round 6am and the gauge was just under a quarter of a tank. I filled her up in Rocky at the BP oppisite the Harvey Norman store and put in 57 litres... So thats 8.77l per 100km

The other car, did Brisbane to Forster-Tuncurry (just north of Newcastle) which is about 675-700kms or there abouts also on only one tank of fuel...

The good bit is the commodore has a electronic fuel meter in the car so you can watch you fuel as you go, and the best I could get it down too was 9.0l per 100km's which i personally think is great for a 6 litre V8 which has less than 5000km's on the clock and is still wearing in atm... The range on the tank when we started the trip said 840km's, we got a solid 700 before the fuel light came on and from there we could have done at least another 75 or so k's...

But in short its all in the way you drive the car...

Actually you should ask Mud, as he drove his skyline up to Mt ISA, im sure he would have got some great economy on that trip...

marki you farken hypocrite, u dont deserve to own another skyline again...actually ur tiny bllas should be choppded off if you do :P

i wonder how the latte fags went on their 'mystery cruise' today :)

P.S i have video of the BMS gtr's on my phone, but cant upload it til tomorrow when im at work (home net is capped atm :))

i shall borrow my mates echo and face it off.. lol

yeah i knw what u mean. duh. it depends on the tune and how much air/fuel u need to cart the damn thing around.. stupid a/c slugs it down a fair bit when engaged... :P i knw of a S15 with 250kw and gets over 600kms per tank.. he does have a T04 and doesnt boost till 4k :)

but still suprised to get 9.3 considering i thrashed its lil SR titties off every set of lights.. all the way to 60kph hahaha

on a lighter note.. i found out that halo 3 came out.. so i went and brought it and havent put the xbox controller down since 1pm.. i needed to each dinner and pee so my sis is playin.. booyah its fun.. and only EIGHTY DOWLAR.. BARGIN

lol how am i a hypocrite.. i call the GTST range slow mofos not the GTRs.. if i recall u call GTRs slow mofos unless they have 700hp plus..?? which is why ur building.. that and u have a bad eye for cars bahaha..

*zing* i missed u

    • Take the value it measured as, and pick the closest range available that is above the reading on the screen.   Also, no point just testing the coils. Read what has been said again. You need to test all your wiring, everything.
    • Does the scanner do all the CUs in the car, or only the ECU?
    • @666DAN sorry to bring you and old thread.     I've got my de+t done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.    Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd when selected . But nothing when in  drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic. I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Do ya have any ideas?     Cheers man
    • Well I recently changed my rear axles and was thinking if I bumped anything, I have been driving the car for a while now though... But it has been raining today so everything is wet under the wheel arches. Brakes feel fine and can't hear any of the metal screamers, I had a squeak coming from one of the handbrake drums but that seems to have gone away a while ago. I was going down a hill when it lit up and I did feel the abs bite for a second and question why it did it?
    • Correct. Um. I dunno. I haven't cared enough about the way that the NA cars work to know for sure. But..... The 33/34 turbo manual cars have an electronic speed sensor in the gearbox that outputs a +/- (ie, sawtooth AC) voltage signal. That is connected to the speedo. The speedo then outputs a 0-5v square wave (ie, PWM) signal that the ECU (and any other CU on the bus) sees. The speed sensor is NOT directly connected to the ECU. So here's the problem. Your new ECU expects to see the PWM signal, but must somehow be getting a direct signal from the diff speed sensor. Which would suggest that the wiring of the NA car is not the same as the turbo cars. I think you will need to spend some time with (hopefully the wiring diagram for the car) and a multimeter to see what is connected to what. Then, presuming I am correct**, you would then want to separate the ECU speed signal input from the rest of the car's wiring, and probably either buy a speed signal converter, or build one using an arduino (or similar). That would take in the speed sensor signal and output a scaled (and suitably rearranged) signal for the ECU. ** We shouldn't presume that I am correct here, because there might be something else crazy going on. I don't think you could convert the speedo to be fed from the gearbox sensor, because the pulse rate from that sensor is probably different to the diff sensor and then the speedo would read wrongly. And this also wouldn't fix the ECU's problem either, because the ECU doesn't want to see the gearbox signal direct either (assuming that they are all on the same wiring, for some odd NA related reason, see above caveat!) Does this help? Probably not. Can you make it work? Almost certainly. With the above work. You should buy a handheld oscilloscope from Aliexpress so that you can view these signals directly. Connect up the probes and drive the car. Show photos of the screen when drving at known speeds and connected to different places, and we'll see what we can learn about it.
