I was in (in order... me=ride whore on the cruise :)) The stagea...love that induction sound, The Maroon R32...awesome ride, Murray's V8 limited Soarer...mmm leather...

Lol, I'm going to apologise now for hijacking this thread with my convo with Madaz... I had good intentions of not doing so...really I did!

Madaz mate, scroll back to the post I made where I asked if 'this' was your car, I attached a pic of the rear of a candy red r33 4door I saw on the MEGAcruise earlier this year. I thought it may have been you.

I just hadn't found the pic and attached it before you aswered my post, so when you answered there was nothing there yet.

...sorry for the essay guys :D

i was thinking this the other day ... and now i need a timming belt done so car is off the road...

i was thinking of organising 1 and not leaving it open to discussion just post a date u make it or you dont and giving u a rough direction of where we are going and like the other cruise i organised 3 city points of meeting up ....

i will do this but when my car is back on the road and i am unsure as to when i will be getting the belts

i dont know what u guys thought, but IMO the roads where a little too high speed, needed more twisties and at a better time. by the time we got to the twisties just before TTP on north east road there was mass traffic and no real chances to get some good corners in. pulled over for a few minutes to get some space ahead but the traffic was moving so slow we caught up to them within a minute :/

but yeh, im just worried that with these high speed roads that it gives idiots a chance to be idiots overtaking people etc. we had a chat to that guy who pulled out from behind me after slowing off the pack to get some space up for some twisties, and almost hitting another silvia coming in the other direction after passing me at the wrong time and not being able to pull in anywhere into the pack.

last thing we need is another skyline cruise tradgedy.

well my car will be ready to go for a cruise when everyone is ready, a cruise is what im after not an all out race, especailly in this weather. Need a good stop off point with a bbq(undercover) maybe so everyone can meet and have a chat, after the cruise that is.

Bout time someone organised another midnight run..... If anyones keen PM me with details on preffered dates and times etc.

I think the last run had only two cars; myself and pete --> it meant a very fast run although i did shag my motor (its all good now though had it fixed). Wont be on in the rain due to danger!!!!!!

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
